Even the Bengals have more primetime games that the Panthers. The Super Bowl participants have one saturday night game, and ONE FREAKIN MONDAY NIGHT GAME!!!!! Anyone else think their teams got screwed?
Don't feel too bad. I'm glad my Chiefs got 6 prime time games this year; but I'm also smart enough to know that it's because the league knows that when you pair our offenses ability with our defenses lack of ability, you have the prime makings for loads of TDs scored, which is good for the ratings. I am glad for the Chiefs to get more exposure. I have Sunday ticket so I see them anyway. I really like the early Sunday games the best. Woo-Hoo, we get to see your panthers week 2!
6 Prime time games? I only saw 4 buddy.... of course I would love 4 since the Steelers got only one...
I havent looked at the Chiefs schedule, but I believe the NFL restricts the maximum prime time appearances to 4 or 5(4 i think, but I might be wrong)....I know 3 is the max number for MNF

I mean, we scored 29 points on New England, to go along with 400 yds of Offense.
I think we have the max which is 4 primetime games. Being defending champs it seems every team steps up there game when they play you and having 4 primetime games juat makes it worse because teams will be gettting pumped up for the national spotlight and to knock off the defending champs. I just fear 2002 all over. Losing in a tie breaker in the division because of a real tough schedule.

Your right, the double-overtime win in St. Louis was boring. So was the Super Bowl. The fact that we were 1-15 2 years ago under sea-fart and now we are Conference Champs, well that's no reason to give us primetime games. The fact is the Panthers will always be a small-market team, therefore unless we win SBs, we won't be put on primetime that much.
I agree to a point because I like watching defense and a solid running attack which is what your team showed 90% of the time last season. This on the other hand does not translate to the average fan who proabably mostly checks out the national televised games which along with the small market doesn't look like a big ratings game. I don't think Carolina is boring but I can certainly understand why teh avg. fan would think so.

I'd like to see more passing to, Like during the Playoffs when Jake was the #1 rated QB. He threw 6TDs, 1 INT. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come. We also have Smith, who can as Cowboys, Rams, and Patriots fans can attest, can score on any given play. Foster is also a playmaker, and I'd like to see him get more carries. Eagle and Pats fans know he's a hard runner, and fast too.

One could make the arguement that the only star player they have is Williams, and he didn't have that great a year least year. Taylor also didn't have the season he had before where he led the NFL in sacks. It's just very confusing and dissapointing that the NFL chose to snub the Panthers. We got more games then this in 97 after we LOST the NFC Championship. :x
The Dolphins win 9 or 10 games every year....they have exactly 2 sub-.500 seasons in the last 35 years....2 losing seasons in 35 years is impressive in the NFL where teams rise and fall with the tides....the reason the Dolphins get those prime time games every year, is becuase they are always in reasonable contention, and they have a good record of ratings on TV....they are the winningest team in the leagues history(Win %), after all....

Whoa...a Friday afternoon game? Would you call that a primetime game? Who can watch it? If you do, than my Vikes have 4 primetime appearance...pretty impressive. I'm really looking forward to the game against Philly.
I believe that friday afternoon game is Christmas eve so most of the cpuntry will able to watch if they choose

I didn't mean your games were boring, and I really like your team. Unfortunately, it seems that in a lot of cases, the execs often seem to think that the TV audience needs either a storyline (i.e. Parcells returns to NE/NY) or a mouth (Sapp, Keyshawn, etc) or just a stud player. The Panthers were a great "team" but to date most of the personalities are vanilla. Sure, those that was closely could say a Buckner has that potential, but you really haven't seen that unless you are a diehard fan. There aren't many Panther bandwaggoners yet, so what is the audience? This group would love to see more Panther games, but to the lukewarm fan, they won't pay as close of attention. Dallas gets 5 primetimes (incl Thanksgiving) because they have a large-market audience, they have more bandwaggoners, they have Parcells, and they have Keyshawn the mouth. I like it only because I'm a Cowboys fan, but I'm with you - there should be more Panther games.
The Pack got four games again this year...three Mondays and a Thursday on ESPN. I'm happy about that. I will chime in, though, and say the Panthers should have gotten at least two prime time games.

OK, OK. How about 6 nationally telivised games. We have 5 in Prime-time including the Christmas day game against Galvy's Raiders. The 6th game was a regular Sunday game, but it's the national TV game that week according to nfl.com.
