QUOTE

Arizona Central - Sunday was golden for Suns center Amaré Stoudemire, from when he thoroughly enjoyed a pregame one-on-one matchup with a ball boy to a familiar driving dunk in USA Basketball's victory to the moment he bowed to accept a gold medal after Team USA won the FIBA Americas Championship. Stoudemire said he enjoyed every moment of his 17-day USA Basketball experience, capped by Sunday's 118-81 title-game rout of Argentina. After playing in a tournament that the U.S. dominated - winning each game by an average of 39.5 points - Stoudemire was asked if it would be hard to return to the Suns. "Not at all," he answered. "I could see that if I was going back to the (Charlotte) Bobcats. I'm going back to the Phoenix Suns , baby!" Stoudemire is in love with basketball more than ever since breaking free from the physical and mental limitations caused by knee surgeries in October 2005 and April 2006.

Good to see that he's dedicated to the Suns. I expect big things from him this year.

I think that this could be the year the Suns break through and win it all.

Amare played terrific basketball last season coming off of a knee injury, he'll only get better. He's arguebely the best offensive center in the NBA and now with a three point jumper this team will continue to be clearly the scariest offensive team in the NBA. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets All-NBA First Team, this year.

Alot of you guys are quick to assume that the Suns will win an NBA championship this up-coming year. Remember that the Phoenix franchise still can't defend any low-post prescence, they were forced to start Kurt Thomas in the Suns-Spurs series and alter their game-plan tremendousely so they could match up with Tim Duncan. Now Kurt Thomas is gone, Suns better pray they don't match up with the Spurs at any point in the playoffs because despite the suspensions the Suns still wouldn't have won the series with their post defense. I'm happy that Amare developed a three point shot and it will help him but I thought he should've focused on improving defensively this summer.
