The bad news, is that it hasn't been confirmed if this has made its way into Association mode (in other words, wheter or not theres a full all-star weekend)

Ford got traded twice in my Association that I played two seasons of in 2k7, and he still had gear that matched Toronto's uniforms when he was playing for Denver. I had to edit it.

BIG NEWS
The Demo is coming out tonight, at 2am.

Also, the right stick (originally for shooting), can be switched for dribble moves. It can also be callibrated to be a dribble stick, and a shot stick when the left stick is pressed at the same time. Wowie
Have fun tonight fellas, I left my 360 at home so you'll have to tell me how it is.

Just found a new pic of Paul Pierce...
WOW!
9 more days... I don't know if I'll be able to hold up.

You can go check out my observations about the NBA 2k8 demo in the "Fun & Games" section, if you'd like. Live has nothing on 2k as far as gameplay and realism is concerned. I'm a huge 2k fan, but even the demo absolutely blew me away and greatly exceeded my expectations... and the comforting part about that is that it's not even the final build!
2k always has and always will be better than Live.

Dam man i been mad cause my xbox live ran out and i cant download the demo

i have the live demo cause it came out a while ago. and it really blows....like always. jus gonna wait till 2k comes out

I was a 2k3 guy, and then went with Live for 04 and 05. I was a 2k6, and 2k7 guy...and now the balance is restored.
If you watch and NBA game and want to replicate what you see on the TV...then got with a TV game.
If not, go with LIve.

2k3 was the best 2k game yet. 2k-2k3 have been the best in the series. Then 2k4 was just a big decline, leading up to the horrible 2k5. 2k6 was also horrible, and very glitchy. 2k7 was an okay game. Live was definitely better in 2006, but Live didn't build properly on 2006, letting 2k win in 07, but its not the glorious victory that the people on these boards will try to make it look like, because they're all major 2k fanboys, so you have to take what they say with a grain of salt a lot of time.
Currently, I'd rank them: 1. NBA 0* 2. NBA 2k* 3. NBA Live *
But it looks like NBA 2k8 will be the best in the series, or at least one of the better ones, a redemption game, returning it to the dreamcast and early ps2 levels.

Go with NBA 08 if your buying for PSP. I had NBA 06 for PSP, and that was a great portable game imho. The gameplay was a lot like NBA2k3. The poor player ratings, and lack of updatabilityi (which I assume isn't a problem any more) were the main problems with the game, and the fact that there wasn't a franchise mode (there probably is one now), but gameplay wise, that was a helluva fun game. Ben Gordon was pretty good on that game too, I used to play that game in my engineering class all the time (I got Madden with my PSP, but thought the Madden on there wasn't fun...but later found I just don't like playing football games anymore, and that the Madden was a solid rendition). But yeah, definitely get NBA 08 for PSP, its bound to be great.

Yeah, I just played the demo, FIRE! Everything runs so smoothly. It's realistic, the crowd is amazing, and players act with emotion. I'd definitely recommend getting it over Live this year. 2K8 kicks ass!
I got the team ratings (us Celtics fans should be very happy with our rating):

QUOTE

1. Suns: 93 2. Spurs: 92 3. Celtics: 87 4. Bulls: 85 5. Jazz: 84 6. Pistons: 83 7. Rockets: 82 8. Nuggets: 81 9. Lakers: 77 10. Heat: 76 11. Mavericks: 76 12. Nets: 75 13. Raptors: 75 14. Clippers: 75 15. Grizzlies: 74 16. Warriors: 74 17. Bobcats: 74 18. Cavs: 73 19. Hornets: 72 20. Wizards: 72 21. Pacers: 72 22. Magic: 71 23. Hawks: 70 24. T-Wolves: 70 25. Kings: 69 26. 76ers: 66 27. Blazers: 65 28. Bucks: 64 29. Sonics: 62 30. Knicks: 62

I think they are a little shaky, personally. I'm very happy about us being the best team in the East, of course, but there are issues. Here are my thoughts:

[*]San Antonio should be the highest rated team in the game. They are the champions and their defense really sets them apart from Phoenix, despite the amazing offensive talent down there. [*]Dallas all the way down at 76? The only reason they are so underrated in the game is because this game is produced by Warriors fans, which is also why Golden State's individual player ratings are too high. It's one thing to be biased, but come on, this is absurd. They are undoubtedly one of the top few teams in the league. [*]Detroit should be above Chicago. [*]So the Mavs are all the way down at 76, but the Lakers are up at 77? Riiiiiight.... [*]I was unaware that Golden State, Charlotte, and Memphis were better teams than Cleveland. A healthy Clipper team is debatable, though, and I think Cleveland would particularly have a tough problem with that matchup. [*]Washington and Orlando are a little underrated.
[*]Indiana is overrated, I think they are one of the worst teams in the league, possibly the worst in the East. [*]I can't stand the Knicks or anything about their franchise, excluding David Lee and Mardy Collins, but 62 seems awful low. They should be a top 10-11 seed in the East this year, with an outside shot at making the playoffs (extremely doubtful, but possible). They aren't the worst team in the league, especially in a video game when you're considering overall ratings and talent.
But hey, I can at least confidently say that these are much better than Live's team ratings.
