    in the supplemental draft?

Will a team give up a 2005 1st for Williams?

Will a team give up anything for Clarett?

edit: I read somewhere that the supp. draft order is not the same as the upcoming draft. The supp draft is basically a random assignment of draft position to a team, so SD probably would not be able to pick first. Can anyone confirm or deny this?? Thanks.

I would give a 1st round pick for Williams especially if you are a team thats not expecting to be picking high next year (i.e. Eagles, Pats etc..) He looks like he will be a very good player. Clarett I would give a 3rd round pick for at the highest.

take the draft order and flip it....assign each team a ping pong ball for themselves, and one for each team that is ahead of them...thus NE gets 1, SD gets 32, dump them into a huge hopper and pull them randomly to decide a draft order....if you use a pick on a player, you forfiet next years pick in that round, so if you draft M.Williams in the 1st round, you dont get a #1 next year and so on...best thing that could happen to you is to have your team win that lottery, pass with the #1 overall, see the whole league pass with thier #1s so you get Williams for a 2005 #2, that would be a sweet deal

Here's a question. Can Williams still go back to college, or has he burned that bridge already??

I'm sure he's already hired an agent, so no.

Another question...if a team gives up a first rounder for next year, how is the salary negotiated?? Are the same salaries from this year's draftees taken into account?? Or is there less money typically doled out to supp. draftees?

Williams and Clarett both hired agents so they are not eligible for college, but they could apply for reinstatement...they would have to sever ties with the agent, give back the loot, and even then, its iffy wether the NCAA would allow it....

the salary thing is up tp the team and agent....there is no real restriction on rokkie salaries(except the overall rookie pool). the salary slot thing the teams do is just to give them and teh agent a guide. no one has to do it that way....I beleive the extra draft pick would have to be signed under a teams rookie pool, which would make it difficult....unless the agents and players cooperate
