The deepest team in the East is the New Jersey Nets. Without there starting Center for most of the season and with all the injuries they have faced this year they still manage to keep their composure and remain the team to beat in the East.

In the West I would have to go with the Lakers. Even though they started off slow, they are still the defending champions, and will come around. They are slowly creeping up to the 8 th seed. By seasons end they will be in the playoffs with either the 7th or 8th seed.

Expect a 2002 Finals rematch

You just proved you dont know anything about basketball. I agree that the Lakers are still the team to beat, but that's because they are the defending champions, not because they are the "deepest" team in the League.

What are you smoking? Crayons? I mean, come on, How could you say the Lakers are a "deep" team? They are a 2 man team, with a bunch of role players that are getting old and cant play any more, and with a Point Guard that gets out-run by most of the other PGs in the league.

IMO, The deepest team in the East is the Pacers, and in the West, It's either the Kings or Mavs.

Where do you get the nets as a deep team? I think the Bulls are also VERY deep!

IMO, The Sonics aren't deep at all, because all they got is jump shooters. For a team to be consider "deep" they should have a lil bit of everything, actually, alot of everything. [IMG]

deepest teams in east/west

 have to totally disagree with thug, Nets maybe for the East, although I think Pacers are deepest, almost in the entire league.
But come on, Lakers in the West????? maybe the team the Laker fans would hope would be the deepest, but afraid NOT this year..
I have to agree with Ito and Atticus....Pacers in East and Kings in the West. go Pacers. [IMG]

East- Pistons. Their roster is packed.

West- Kings, Mavs, Blazers. Losing Sabonis didn't help the Blazers, but they're still pretty deep.

Mavs don't really have any depth now....NVE was the reason people said they were deep..and Nets aren't that deep either...Spurs,Pistons,Pacers,Kings,Blazers are the deepest teams in the league now...

Yeah, the first thing in a long time i agree with allnet on...the Mavs aren't deep and they're my favorite team...I say the Kings are deep for now...i have the slightest feeling that their team will break up....Bobby Jackson, Keon Clark, and Hedo seem very unsatisfied with their time...and in the East, I'd say the Bulls....young potential...no coaching

Keon Clark (Jazz) and Hedo (Spurs) are no longer part of the Kings team...but they still have the NBA's 6th man of the year in Bobby Jackson,Wallace a good talent..Anthony Peeler..a good shooter and can score... Also of course either Vlade Divac or Brad Miller as a bench player at center

Next season will be Cartwright's 2nd full season coaching. I think it's too soon to say they have "no coaching". The Bulls also brought back Johnny Bach as one of their assistant coaches. He'll hopefully bring back the doberman defense MJ & Scottie used to play.
