I just saw on Fox Sports Nets the Spurs and Hawks are talking about a trade involving Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Steve Smith and Danny Ferry. Then i switched to ESPN News and they said it again. OMFG I HOPE THE SPURS PULL THIS OUT!!!

That would be nice for the Spurs.

atlanta has major problems, obviously, and this is obviously a money trade, but why would u trade shareef who avgs about 19 and 9 for 2 WORTHLESS players who are going to retire anytime now anyway. not to mention atlanta would have absolutely no power forwards, of annnny kind of quality. and if atlanta thinks they are going to attract great free agents in a year or two or whenver, with their (non) fan situation, they should probably think again.

Shareef is a great player and the Spurs would be getting him for next to nothing. However I don't think Shareef is what the Spurs need. He's a strong low post player, but he might get in the way of TD and D-Rob. But if you can get him for Ferry & Smith, what a steal.

Obviously a money move. I think Terry would be a better fit though.

    props to snownation.

Terry would be better. That trade would really suck for the Hawks though. I think he WOULD get in TD's way. Terry would be perfect. He'd make the Spurs the best team in the league!

If the Spurs landed Shareef that would be great for them because he is a scorer and can play PF when Robinson Retires. While Duncan would switch to the center position.

no TD publically stated he isnt comfortable being a C and staying low all the time, he said he cant work his game so the pf spot allows him to face up on the high post......makes sense huh. WHERE THE HELL is mengke bateer? he was sposed 2 be a solid backup for drob but his asian ass been injured all year, wat a waste

    What about Kevin Willis?

I think the Spurs will reload with Kandi Man in the off-season to replace D-Rob. Also Manu is only going to get better and will make his way into the starting lineup.

Spurs just need a guard who can post up. The best way to stop Kobe is to have your guards punish him in the paint and wear him down and draw some cheap fouls on him.

What about, maybe get guards quicker than him, like, say, i donno JASON TERRY!!! Him alongside the frenchman would make an awesome backcourt! Next year could be:

    PG-Tony Parker
    SG-Jason Terry
    SF-Bruce Bowen???
    PF-Tim Duncan
    C-Kandi Man

Or, if they get Shareef, it would be even better cuz u don't have any week positions.

    PG-Parker
    SG-Ginobili
    SF-Rahim
    PF-Duncan
    C-Kandi

It would rule! either way, spurs win in this deal.
