Oscar wat a punk to his teamates and demanded the ball every time down the court. Lets not compare era's, because that ugly shot that Oscar had would get put back in his face every time by MJ. O would not score on him either, did not have much lift, and was not that fast. He was however very good, ut not MJ.

I don't think it should take a genius to realize that the greatest NBA player of all time is LeBron James.

Nevermind, I know you are. What did that quote have to do with anything? Yes Michael was bad to the rest of his fellow Bulls and Wizards, but nothing compared to Oscar. Instead of just looking at the stats and making judgment, look deeper.
Ha. You're telling us to look deeper? I have looked as deep as someone can and it doesn't take a genius to realize that MJ was as bad, if not worse, to his teammates than Oscar was.

No, sorry, I was referring to LeBron. It was a facetious remark sparked by the media saturation regarding LeBron James, which instigated my satiric streak and my naming the best player in NBA history as someone who has yet to play an NBA game, since some of the hype would have us believe as much.
MJ was bad yes, but I remember seeing the ESPN Sportscentery on both of these guys..and ESPN talked for a long time about how bad they were..but I was more shocked by Oscars personally.
yea I saw the Oscar one too, I believe I have it on tape somewhere with all the other Sportscenturies....they were both bad, however there were no documented cases of Oscar resorting to his own physical force to put his teammates in check. That being said, yes they were both bad and yes MJ was a better player than Oscar.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting sunsfan1357:</div><div class="quote_post">Sounds a lot like some other guy we've been talking about. Could it be Michael Jordan?</div> who would you want to take the shots instead of MJ? you want Harper? Rodman? Longley? of course he'll take those shots...he's a leader surrounded by role players...they respect him...and will gladly take the back seat to win games... O is a great player...but please admit that the generation that he played couldn't compare to the 90's (and the present)...would he have adjusted perfectly if he played in the 90's with his style of play? we wouldn't know...can MJ develop a turn around J to beat the faster, taller and stronger player? 72 wins...
I think the Big O could've competed in this era, but it's impossible to tell how well past generation players would do. All we know is that he has the physical makeup to do well and being the great player he is I'm pretty sure he can make the proper adjustments to succeed....
how can you say that jordan is bad. i mean so what jordan took most of the shots that is because he was the leader of the team and everybody was looking up to him. others still got their spot light as well, plus no one could stop jordan so i think he is the greatest player of all time
Jordan respects his teammates...and he believes in them...the Bulls have their own specific roles...Jordan happened to be their scorer...when Kerr told MJ that he's ready to take the game winning shot, MJ gave him a chance to prove himself...talk about respect and confidence to your teammates...

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">Sabonis was a great player, very creative and smart, but this is a joke in my opinion. Shaq, Moses, Wilt, Russell, Duncan, David Robinson, Ewing, and of course my personal favorite center of all time, Hakeem Olajuwon, I would put ahead of Sabonis. There are already enough "what if's" that go on in these "best ever" debates, but I give this "if" a big huge :thumbsdow</div> I of course dont mean right now, or last year. But in all seriousness, I have seen a lot of tape of Sabonis in the Olympics, and he flat out dominated. For a while, I believe he was the best overall player in the world. Most people only know him from his stint with the Blazers. Even with all the knee and ankle injuries, he was amazing to watch.
Yea I know of the legend of Arvydas, but even those who have seen him play in his prime don't believe he was on the level of a Wilt or MJ. I just wish I could've seen him play then...
Of course I knew you were not talking about now, you can't go too much by "what if's" when talking about the best ever, esp with a guy that played his prime years overseas. I would put my life on the line with a prime Olajuwon vs. a prime Sabonis. Yes the man was a great player, I by no means am saying not.
Dude.. I can solve it easily for ya.. If you combine all the facts that you mentioned together and see who has the best combination of them all then you will easily find out that Jordan has them all in addition to fire, competitiveness, cluth.. Kapish
