Just read an article at Realgm.com of Juwan Howard possibility heading to L.A. next season.

    Here it is:
    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
Tim Brown of the Los Angeles Times reports: Has Juwan Howard been auditioning for a job with the Lakers this offseason.

Well, it sure seems like it.

The past two nights, the Denver forward has scored 18 and 22 points against the Lakers.

Howard, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, has told friends in Denver that he would consider playing for the Lakers next season for the mid-level exception, approximately $4.5 million</div>
My opinion: In a way this might be another scam of those Free Agents that tried to scare the league of thinking the Lakers would get another player of decent talent. I think like Kendall Gill, and Charles Oakley he is doing this to get more money. If not, then good for the Lakers. Then there's also a possibility of Lakers getting Scottie Pippen.

    Lakers 2003-2004 Starting Lineup:

    Shaq
    Howard
    Fox
    Bryant
    Pippen

    not bad..not bad at all....
Key bench players...Fisher, Rush, George, Horry, and Walker
and although Walker is a Free Agent, I think he will re-sign because only in L.A. will he get the playing time.

i don't think the lakers will get pippen AND howard....only one for the MLE. that would be a dream if both settled to split the MLE...but keep dreaming.

howard would be a great fit, i think. how many times have you seen kobe set up walker beautifully only to be blown? sooo many times. with a guy like juwan, the lakers would have a solid 3rd scorer and rebounder.

i think the lakers should really go for another PG to compliment fisher. a speedy, offensive minded one to give another dimension to the laker offense.

A speedy, offensive minded point guard? They already have that on the injured list in Jannero Pargo. Don't forget he hoisted 18 points in the pre-season, the thing is he commits to many turnovers and lacks discipline on Defense but I think that all comes with experience and Training.
And I believe Pippen wouldn't care how much money he got if he did sign with the Lakers. He would be able to get at least $1 mill according to the veteran minimum. I think Pipp will probaly just want that 7 Championship ring, one more than his good ol buddy MJ.

oh yeah...forgot about him. i have a feeling if we don't make a trade, we'll see pargo in the playoffs a little more.

I heard Jalen Rose will recruit is ex-Fab 5 buddy during the off-season to join the Bulls.

I don't really like Howard on the Lakers because he is a big guy who can't rebound or block shots.

Pippen would be a great addition to the Lakers. If you can't beat, join em.

I'm crossing my fingers we get Jason Terry though, he's exactly what we need.

Jason would be a great addition to replace the lack of defense that Fisher doesn't provide. If Juwan were to come they would be unstoppable, champions in the next 2-3 years for sure. He can score, but that's about it, not much rebounding or blocked shots.

pargo is not really hurt...he's on the IL just to save roster space...

i dont think we'll see pargo in the playoffs this year...i would be surprised if he made the playoff roster...he is quick, athletic, and offensive minded (and yes he can score in bunches SOMETIMES) but he was out of control at times and he had a hard time playing within the offense...which is PJ has chosen not to play him...he's got potential but if we were going to be seeing him in this post season there's no way jackson would be sittin him on the bench for the majority of the regular season (especially since he is young and would have fresh legs to make it through an entire regular season plus a post season)...

Aquiring Juwan would be great because then you can move Lamaar to his natural position where he would be more effective.

Juwan still has a few good years left in the veterans body. I believe he could really help the team next season.

Kwame/Howard/Odom/Kobe/FA PG and this team would definatly be on their way.

You quoting and saying that just makes this thread in the new posts section and brings it to the top again.....though I wouldn't mind Juwan for cheap...[IMG]
