.Hey, I'm new to the board. It should eb pretty obvious to figure out which team I like. Anyway, how do you guys think the top class of QB's will do? Here's what I've got Eli Manning: Gets off to a rough start, but finishes strong, a lot like his brother, but he can't match his touchdown totals. TD INT 15 16 Philip Rivers: Gets the starting job, and ends up as the best of the bunch. TD INT 20 15 Ben Rothelsberger: Starts out as the back, starts a few games when Maddox struggles, doesn't do much better. TD INT 3 5 J.P.: I doubt Bledose will have another bad year, or get injured, but losman will have a few chances, and he'll impress. TD INT 4 2
Manning's numbers are probably close. It is hard to tell which Giants team will show up. They have some talent on the team that could give him good support, but they tend to underachieve. How Coughlin will change things is key. If San Diego is going to win more games, I think Phillip Rivers needs to have lower numbers in both areas than you point out. That is assuming he even starts the first year. Rivers needs to be able to make plays to take the pressure off of the running game, but LT needs to be carry the burden of playmaker. Rothelsberger may have a successful career, but I think he would struggle in year 1. He played some great games in college, but he got very frustrated with some of the stronger defenses he played against. He did nothing against the Iowa defense, and seemed confused by the slightly more complex schemes. I think he has some tools to be successful, but it will take some time. I agree that Losman will have limited opportunities to see action. Although, if the Bills play like they did last season, Losman will be getting more reps.

As I see it BR & JP if they see any action will struggle like the other 2. BR will struggle simply because he's a rookie. The other 3 teams have questionable offensive lines at best
i agree w/ mostly everything, basically, i think that rothlisberger have 5 TD and 3 INT, mainly because maddox had, in my opinioon 1 good year, so rothlisberger will have more shots and pretty much finish the season the other one is j.p., w/ bledsoe at QB, hes not going to get many starts, but when bledsoe retires or gets traded or something, jp will play and hes gonna be great. im agreeing w/ many of the sports analysts saying hes gonna be like the next brett favre so i say more like 5 TDs and only 1 INT, its a long but i think he can do it
hard to say now, i bet 1 or 2 of the QBs dont turn out or at least pull a tim couch. id say either Rivers and or manning because rives doesnt have a WR to help him, and manning has a jeckel and hyde team so we dont know which giants team shows.
Welcome to the forums PATRIOT, it is good to see another poster on here. Happy posting. Wow, did I say the word post on here enough or what.
Welcome fellow Pats fan. hope you keep posting. We need all the pats fan we can get. the dolphins out number me a Glenso greatly.
Sounds like the beginning of some serious player hating. ha ha. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pats37)</div><div class='quotemain'>Welcome fellow Pats fan. hope you keep posting. Sorry about the wrestling analogy, beef. Dale makes a cameo every now & then I am all for as many fans of AFC East teams as we can get.
Rookies usually never do well in there first season. However i think eventually the best qb of these bunch will be ben roethlisberger. Why? He has antwane randle el, plaxico burress and hines ward to throw too. He can also check off to duce who does very well in catching football's in the backfield. Eli manning will have a hard time like kerry collins did with no line there. But if its stats from day 1 of the nfl season it could rivers with the stats.
I like the way you think Bucs! I'm hoping Roethlisberger is the man of this class. Although I think we're going to have to wait until 2005 at the earliest to see what he's got. Maddox will be the man this season unless he really screws up. But I think, like Cincinnati did to Kitna, Roethlisberger won't sit long. They will most likely push him to play by 2005. As for Manning, Rivers, and Losman, I think the Giants will grow around Manning, but I wouldn't expect too much too soon. Rivers might have the most success, but then again, that team is just bad. If it wasn't for Tomlinson, I wouldn't think he'd have any success. As for Losman, he's a few years away from even being compared to Favre. He has some physical skill, but his footwork is terrible and will get eaten alive if he plays like that in the NFL.

How many Pats fans are there?
Me and Pats37 are the only 2 as of now. There use to be a third one by the name of Bakes not sure if hes still around but we have 3 again including you, I hope you stick around.
I don't know about all that, and you are definitely in the minority. With that being said, Losman has got some mad skills, he just needs to really work on being a complete QB. If he can do that, you might not be too far off the mark. He's quick for a QB and those skills should help if he can learn the game at the NFL level.
Its hard to tell with Losman. He ranks in the top 10 of many of the teams record categories despite playing behind Ramsey for a couple years, so it is hard to tell how good he can really be.
