He's not very high on my list of guys I'd guess would score more than 50. But he's a good player, and if he's hot, there's not a lot you can do to stop him. He must have had his jumper going to near perfection.

listen up people... allan houston is NOT GOOD... kobe checked him for most of the first quarter...that scrub shot 2/7 for 6 points... kobe's right knee starts acting up late in that first quarter...they make the switch and houston goes for 47 points in the next 3 quarters... Houston was in a zone tonight...there's no doubt about that...but he was also going against single coverage... kobe was working against triple teams with a sore knee for most of the night and still managed to drop 40 on a very decent shooting percentage given his supporting cast out on the floor... as much as i hate fisher...he wasnt the problem tonight...he played a solid game...the problem was george and fox's ability to even slow down houston in the slightest...they got hasty to block his shots and that is how he got to the free throw line so many times... kobe had a very quiet 40...what that means is that he was not forcing things, he wasnt scoring in spurts, he was very consistent and actually was playing within the offense for most of the game...when a player can do drop a quiet 40 like that...that is far more impressive then a player droppin 53 while dominating the ball for his own team...too bad kobe's supporting cast was so weak
Houston's biggest quarter came when Fish was on him. Houston easily shot over him and drove by Fish to draw the fouls. Fox and George did a good job shutting down Spree and Shandon. Allan Houston just had an amazing night, and unfortunately it was against my Lakers. Fisher was good offensively, and didn't force the 3pt shot like usual. But his defense is atrocious. He really needs to get his footwork back like he had during the first championship year.
OK, lemme first say this. i dont like allan houstan. but now, let me say this. he aint as bad as he's made out 2 b! Every1 just duznt like him cuz of his contract. Hell, if he was makin 3 mill a year, every1 would be sayin he was a great SG! He isnt a good player. He's a good scorer. Well, actually, he aint even a good scorer. He's just a good shooter! And, as every1 else has said, when he's hot(and being guarded by an overweight 6 footer), he's hot. Really, how many of u would think he was an ok player if it weren't for his hell of a contract?
Allan helped out my fantasy team. Amazing that he scored 53 points. But a lot of people could probably score 50 on Fisher.
The reason Allan dosen't score 25 every game is because he gets tired really quickly and starts missing.
