Majority decision, it's who the fans like not who u want them to like stats don't mean a lot. It's a team thing not a player thing. Kobe is on a team that when Shaq is out, he's their go to guy. McGrady has now two new players he could possibly play with in the long run and not struggle with the players he did have. He has another guard and another center/forward to help him. People like McGrady and Kobe, some people dislike McGrady and Kobe. It's all in opinion like many people have said. There will never be ONE GOOD STAR in the NBA there will always be more than 1, 2, 3, and on but KOBE, KG, all those people you name will form the ALL NBA team along with Mcgrady most likely. Check this out tho, Adidas signed T-Mac and Kobe. Kobe came out with them ugly shoes, nobody bought them. T-Mac came out with his shoes, they sold like crazy. Majority decision, Kobe's fired, T-Mac's full time, it's not what JUST YOU want, it's what the fans want. It may be off topic but it's an example of the T-Mac and Kobe thing. But now we're on the subject of shoes, Reebok is gonna rock the hell out of the shoe business soon, just watch out for them, AND1 too. Reebok has Shawn Marion(he may be And1), Iverson, Kenyon Martin, and Stevie Franchise. Just watch out for em! Peace out tho! P.S. U say T-MAC is not a team player then how the fuck is Kobe been one when he's scoring 40-50 points w/o Shaq? He did that in the beginning of the season and got them in the hole, will he get them out?
great points. and you know what? if shaq retired and pippen adn howard came in they still wouldnt add up to the difference of a shaq
Lakers will likely sign howard and pippen in this off season and still have shaq. They will have like 12 odd million to spend or somthing like that..Bet shaq won't retire for another 2 or 3 more years though.Depending on injury of course.
yup Kobe's stats go up during the year... Kobe's stats almost ALWAYS get better throughout the course of the year... he trains hard...practices hard...works hard on his game...EVEN DURING THE SEASON...where as T-Mac doesnt...T-Mac hardly works on his game during the off-season... This is unfortunate because T-Mac could be so much better then he is... uh of course pippen and howard wouldnt make up for a retired Shaq...i don't know why anyone would even make this comment...because it would go without saying...they're talking about pippen and howard in addition to Shaq and Kobe which would address two very important issues for the Lakers...it gives them a secondary legitimate low post option in Howard who is also a pretty solid interior defender...Pippen is a solid shooter and defensive player (duh) who can swing from the 1-3...this way...next season when Shaq needs to sit a game to rest his injuries...the Lakers still have a post presence in Howard so it won't disrupt the flow of their O as much and they still have good interior defenders in the game as well...when Kobe needs to sit to rest next season Pippen is more then adequate filler to keep them competitive against any competition... the opportunity of having both of them really excites me and it seems to me like pippen would be willing to play for close to the minimum just to play for PJ and the Lakers and win another championship...im sure Juwan would take a BIG paycut to come play for the Lakers too just for the chance of actually being on a winning team for once... "P.S. U say T-MAC is not a team player then how the *bleep* is Kobe been one when he's scoring 40-50 points w/o Shaq? He did that in the beginning of the season and got them in the hole, will he get them out?" (yes i know how to use the quote function...but i prefer this way) i never saw anyone say T-Mac wasnt a team player...in my opinion he is a good team player that's forced to dominate the ball simply beause sometimes him jacking up a fadeaway over a double team is still better than one of his teammates with a wide open look...but i'll ask you a question about the problem you see with Kobe goin for 40 / 50 pts a night... would you rather be passing to Darrell Armstrong or Derek Fisher...Armstrong should be the answer if u know much of anything -.- ... Mike Miller or Rick Fox? no brainer...Samaki Walker or Pat Garrity...uh Pat Garrity is a much more effective scorer...Robert Horry or Shawn Kemp...uhh ok yah Robert Horry there but Kemp is still a low post presence =P so offensively speaking...T-Mac has a lot more help then Kobe does when Shaq is sittin down...Kobe should be going for 40/50 pts a night when Shaq is out...that team won't win otherwise...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "ianmar9":</div><div class="quote_post">just a question? How do any of us know how hard they train in the off season?</div> Kobe is a hard worker and everybody knows that. He has great work ethic!!! He is doing hard every off season and he is always much better.
I like Tmac. I really dont care what you guys think of him and everything. Ok ....deal with it you dont like him and somepeople do. Ok.
read the bottom of the first message, it's there. But um...Kobe DOES NOT have help. I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers let all their players go and signed VETERANS. That's why Kobe has no help. Devean George will show up but every other 5 games. Horry averages like 5 points a game if not more or less. It's frustrating to watch the Lakers play sometimes. In the beginning they had A.C. Green, Horry, Fox, Shaq, and Kobe. That squad was what won them their respect then, THEY BROKE THE DAMN TEAM UP! Remind you of something....The Bulls! When Jordan left, the Bulls whole starting five either got traded or retired. The Bulls would still be average if not good if the team wasn't broken up. They'd have Kerr, Pippen, Jay williams just to name a few. But some of the players on the Bulls wanted to be traded probly cuz Phil Jackson was leaving but like i said, once Jordan left, the Bulls went downhill.

T-Mac has been knocked all around the league for his lack of hard work during the offseason... he says he does individual workouts...a lot of 'basketball people' don't buy it...he does get better but people attribute that to his in game progress rather then his off-season working out... he probably does some stuff but I don't think he works as hard as Kobe...personally...i don't blame him...especially after last season...the guy must have been beat physically and needed some down time... Kobe came back from the off season looking huge (his arms got noticeably bigger) and it may just be me but it seems to me like he's gotten even bigger since the start of the season which means he's continued to work out hard during the season as well...i don't think many people in the NBA doubt that Kobe is the most dedicated player in the game... oh and i read the bottom of the first post...yah i dont really agree wiht that statement
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "OnlineX":</div><div class="quote_post">He just dropped 52 points. What you guys have to say bout that?</div> It was really impressive...but no one has dissed mcgrady in this thread.
And now, introducing the second 50-point scorer of the night, he's your leading scorer for the NEW ORLEANS HORNETS.............JAMAL MASHBURN! 50 points, 17-33 FG, 4-7 3PT, 7-7 FT. Don't sleep on him, he's a primetime player. He did everything but get a double-double. P.S. what happened to Baron Davis? i just noticed he wasn't on the roster.
davis is out for at least a month...chronic back problems cuz he's too fat ;( no like really...thats what they think is causing these problems...
Don't get me wrong please. T Mac is one of the best players in the whole league(maybe even then best) but in my opinion he's like 4th best player in my opinion (or maybe 3rd) 1 Kobe,Duncan 2 KG 3 T Mac,Jason Kidd He is great player but I don't think he is better than Kobe. Here is a fine example of T Mac hype. Last 8 games Kobe is scoring over 40 points and last night T Mac scored 52 and some fans are all like Kobe who?  That's hype but if you really think he's better.....maybe he is but not in my opinion 1 Kobe,Duncan 2 KG 3 T Mac,Jason Kidd
