Usually we see 1 rookie stand taller among others. However, I think this year, we need another dual rookie of the year award. We all know Yao and Amare will rule the nba in a couple years. let's just make it official.
I think that Yao Ming should win it hands down. Sure Amare is a great athletic power forward, but he is not an All-Star like Ming. Haha, nice signature Damian. The great basketballboards migration has begun!
Welcome guys. There's still plenty of season to play, but right now, I'd choose Co-ROYs. For more thoughts on the 2, here's a past thread: http://www.hotmel.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=453
I choose the yao Ming but some might see me as biased. Amare can play no doubt but it seems like he has hit the rookie wall. While yao has put up some good numbers over the last month. Gooden has played well but he was on a bad team. That is why caron butler shouldn't be considered for the award. I am sick of Co-Rookie of the Years. I want one outright.(unless for some reason amare gets it)
because i am a rockets fan. and as a rockets fan i would naturally choose Yao over amare. I like amare. but i like yao more
So on the comment on Drew Gooden is playin well but for a bad team (before he got traded) Pau Gasol - 2002 ROY, bad team. good player
I'd prefer to see an outright ROY, but it is very close between them. Amare has been outstanding for a vastly improving Suns franchise but again the same can be said for Yao Ming and the rockets...this is too close to call!
