Don't pay attention to any comments olskoolFunktitude makes. He's just a hater. He likes being the devil's advocate in most of these threads, but most comments have ZERO substance.

You like Kobe, he'll crticize his game
You like K-Mart, he'll crticize his game

His comments are not based on any facts.

Saying T-Mac is a better defender than Kobe. Do you even watch basketball? Kobe made the All Defense team. Has T-Mac? Nope

T-Mac is his ENTIRE team. Another false statement. Garrity, Mike Miller, Darrell Armstrong are all capable players.

Kobe is streaky? Wrong again. He's only gone UNDER 20 pts 7 or 8 times this season. He shoots 83% from the FT line and 46% from the field.

As for getting Assists. If your teammates are missing the open shots Kobe sets up, then his assist totals are going to be a lot lower.

at least try to back up your comments with knowledge..you are just talking rubbish.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He will slump, he just has to play someone with talent</div>

That might be one of the dumbest comments i've ever heard...

I consider Shawn Marion, Doug Christie, Andrei Kirilenko, Latrell Sprewell, Bruce Bowen, James Posey, Ruben Patterson, and Scottie Pippen all VERY VERY good defenders.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting "SCBrian":</div><div class="quote_post">

no NBA expert in the league would EVER say that T-Mac is a superior defender to Kobe...that is a joke...and the 'plug any star in for Kobe and they'll still win a championship' is a ridiculous comment as well...plug any 'star' big man in for Shaq and the Lakers would win too...wut's ur point? Kobe and Duncan would still win a championship...</div>

incorrect. the reason you see so many people making such "stupid" calims is because they DO hear such things from NBA experts on ESPN and in local newspapers. what? u think people who argue that kobe isnt the best just hate him or something?

shapecity what gives? i may sem like a devils advocate at times but it is in part because i dont "like" any one specific team. but i never post something that isnt a fact unless i say explicitly its just my opinion. look back thru my posts.im starting to think u just odnt like me so u dont want people to listen to me. i could make the same complaints about u but i choose not to cuz i have nothing against u personally u make just as good points as i do sometimes u just often have a differeing view.

and allnet.....its just as stupid to think kobe will never slump.

it's not personal. i don't even know you. i just think a lot of the comments you make are without merit and i want to point that out to the other members. but the i just wanted to point out it's not personal.

"I make a point not to post without facts..."

Once again just pointing out what you posted.

He will have nights were he will struggle yes but he will still get his points..he can't be stopped.Only contained..because of the way he attacks the basket and scores at will.

if youre trying to point out to people that my posts are "without merit" so they shouldnt even listen to me than how is that not personal? I would never tell people to ignore everything you say even if i did have a gruge against you. if its true which it isnt than people would understand in time anway. but most people seem to think my posts are just as good as yours.

why is it so ridiculous to think kobe will never slump? that hell never have a month where he averages under 15 a game? ive seen teams jack up their D on him at crunch time and stop him dead in his tracks.

If I wanted to make it personal I would refer to you as being stupid, retarded etc. but I don't, I just attack your comments.

Here's a perfect example of you speaking without merit.

"T-Mac is a better defender than Kobe."

How can you make a statement like that and not point out any examples or back it up without any proof? There has to be a reason you truly believe T-Mac is a better defender, so what is the reason?

I could say the same for Kobe. It doesn't prove T-Mac is a better defender. Kobe being selected on the All Defense team points out a league consensus from his peers that he is recognized as one of the best at defenders at his position.

I've heard and read many times what seperates Kobe from T-Mac is Kobe's defense. It has been pointed out T-Mac should be a better defender with all the athleticism he has, and that he should use more energy on defense.

Here's 2 comments made by two of T-Mac's teammates.

Orlando's most veteran player is Horace Grant, and he agrees that McGrady's energy level is sometimes inadequate. "The thing is," says Grant, "that Tracy's still only 23, and his competitive nature is still maturing. And, yes, a young player can learn to play with greater intensity. It's a technique, just like good footwork or making an outlet pass. But time is running out. If Tracy doesn't learn to play all out all the time within the next two years, then it'll be too late. Nothing gets unfixable as quickly as bad habits."

Another teammate has a much more critical scouting report: "Instead of busting his butt on defense, Tracy likes to take short cuts. He gambles and cheats so much that he puts the rest of us in jeopardy."

kobe had a piss poor shooting night tonite...

tonight...he was chasing the streak towards the end of the game...but i don't think any of his teammates cared so long as they got the win...they are up by 8 with a minute left so kobe is jackin up shots to get it....

find me one scouting report or experts analysis that says that t-mac is a better defender then kobe is...

or show me a time when T-Mac was named to an all-defensive team...

    then talk...

Yeah he was definately forcing it at the end. But I'm glad he got it and the Lakers won. The crowd and his teammates were definately egging him on.

agreed...its ok for him to chase after it as long as its not harming his team...Shaq had a nice game...hope he gets some down time though soon so he doesnt over exert himself...

    oh and btw..

    http://espn.go.com/page2/s/rosen/021210.html

there's just one of many reports i've read knocking t-mac's defense...yah...your turn to come up with some sort of factual basis for your statement that tmac is a better defender then kobe...

I'm glad i'm not labeled a hater. Kobe is in a struggle becuz he's goin for a 40 point streak and the way he tries to do it, he struggles. he's shoots like crazy. He's good at 3's but the Jumpers need work. Shaq was just their to get table scraps(not in a mean way) and slam it home. 17 boards, Kobe must've hit a lot lol just messin. 27 pts, 17 boards, why can't Shaq have 50 too. it'd be sweet to see Kobe and Shaq score 50 in the same game

i dont doubt there will one day be a game where kobe and shaq both score 40...50 might be pushin it a bit =)

and kobe will never have a month (not until he's like 40 if he's still playin by then) where he will average under 15 points a game...guys like Kobe, T-Mac, etc. those guys will always get theirs...teams should be happy if they hold them to 20 points in a game...but the thought of them averaging under 15 ppg for an entire month is ridiculous...
