<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The NBA's MVP race, according to those responding to this week's question, is a three-man race among Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs and Kevin Garnett of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Timberwolves F Kevin Garnett holds his MVP trophy after the 52nd annual NBA All-Star game. By Alan Mothner, Reuters I have closely watched each of Bryant's last nine games during his 40-point streak and am convinced that he is the best player in the league. I also studied Duncan's performance during the same period and he is a fundamental marvel, taking a back seat when he has to, dominating only when necessary and showing remarkable patience. But after assuming the MVP race was between those two, I looked more closely at Garnett and, right now, I think he is the MVP. His numbers are staggering: He's a 7-footer who averages more than five assists a game and still gets his 23 points and 13 rebounds a night. Perhaps his most impressive feat is that he can go out on the perimeter and guard anyone. "In order to be a complete and efficient ballplayer, pay close attention to Kevin and enroll in his school of getting the job done. Kevin shouldn't be slighted because he hasn't gotten his team out of the first round of the playoffs," said Danielle Davis of Upper Marlboro, Md. Some readers held it against Bryant that he plays with Shaquille O'Neal and the Lakers are struggling. But others, like Brett Housely of London, says that isn't fair. "The media have twisted MVP criteria around a million and one ways to their liking. (Michael) Jordan was MVP on some bad Bulls teams. I'd hate for a player to go to the Hall of Fame with no MVP trophies simply because he wasn't the best player on the best team. Kobe is the MVP." </div> http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/...ne-on-one_x.htm I agree with them. Kobe is MVP so far. KG and TD are very close but Kobe is MVP
I am not sure when the voting for the MVP is done but, if it is after the playoffs i go with KG if the Wolves make it out of the first round. Other wise Duncan gets my pick.
I'd give the MVP to Kevin Garnett, he leads his team in so many catagories and has a very impressive and efficient all around game. He shouldn't be overlooked because his franchise has never made it past the first round of the playoffs.
the vote will go to jason kidd. everyone knows that no team owes as much of its success to one player as they do
not true at all. and anything they do is a direct result of kidds playmaking. he makes people around him look much better than they ae just like he did in phoenix. you think its just a coincidence that the nets turned into a 1st place team whne he came over? like they ALL just sudenly turned into star calibner players? AAAAAAAHAHAHAaa
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "allnet":</div><div class="quote_post">Nets have better role players than the wolves..</div> that is true, but KG has proven he can't always come out in the end offensively and gives it to wally.
KG can do anything hes charged with but he doesnt have the distinction kidd does of being the only reason his team inst in last place. they wernt before he got there they wont when he leaves unlike NJ. KG is simply the second most valueble player in the league but because the nets by and large are so poor but have a winning record jason kidd is the most valueble. hes the only reason any of those other players have any koinnd of good numbers
http://www.nba.com/features/mvp_030227.html In my view it's all about Kobe and KG. Here is my MVP ranking 1 Kevin Garnett The team is now top 8, and KG does their scoring, rebounding, passing and just about everything else. 2 Kobe Bryant He is doing everything for his team. His team is winning and Kobe is making the history 3 Tim Duncan Without him, Spurs win 10 games. 4 Tracy McGrady His team is .500 now and they will make playoffs if they keep playing like this Along with Kobe and KG he is the best all around player in the whole league 5 Jason Kidd Look at #3 Also we should consider: Shaquille Neal - I still think he's the best player Jermaine O Neal - He is playing great but Pacers are total team effort Dirk Nowitzki - Like Jermaine Chris Webber He is having a great season, but the Kings seem able to compete without him
I heard KG has averaged 29 points 14 rebounds and 7 assists since the allstar break  KG IS MVP!!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "allnet":</div><div class="quote_post">I heard KG has averaged 29 points 14 rebounds and 7 assists since the allstar break  KG IS MVP!!</div> Kobe has avereged 40 points,5 rebounds,4 assists and 2 steals since the all star break It's very close KG vs Kobe I pick KG but it's really close
KG deserves it more as he doesn't have shaq next to him and has led his team to top 4 spot...but both are great players
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "allnet":</div><div class="quote_post">KG deserves it more as he doesn't have shaq next to him and has led his team to top 4 spot...but both are great players</div> Yeah, that's why I think he deserves it a little bit more. He's MR EVERYTHING He is doing everything for T Wolves This is his season,he's my NO1 so far
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">KG deserves it more as he doesn't have shaq next to him and has led his team to top 4 spot...but both are great players I agree. Plus, the wolves are doing better than the Lakers right now.</div>
