Sorry to see it end but it was nice to see Kobe give it up and not try to force the issue at the end of the game...he ended up giving up the ball to Fox and Shaq instead of really pushing for it...he would have needed 8 pts in the last 2 minutes...even though the game was already out of reach and he could have pushed it without jeopardizing his team's win, he just let it slip away...

    9 ain't bad at all though...it was a nice run =P

and more importantly it got the Lakers on track again...Shaq had a nice game and he looks good, has a lot of bounce in his step, and at least Laker fans know that Shaq can take a game or two off when needed and Kobe can still carry the team when needed...

Very impressive...had to come to an end sooner or later. Also the fact L.A are winning which in his book will be more important.Good while it lasted though.

Kobe with Shaq playign healthy, wont get alot of 40+ point games becasue SHAQ will get his points(20-25) every night and Kobe will get in the (25-30) points a night. The 40+ point games had to end sometime. It was a pretty nice run by Kobe.

It had to end sooner or later. Still 9 straight games with 40+ is very impressive. I think he will do it again someday.

i hope you watched the game before you say his defense was horrible...or do you just judge purely from a stat line?

ray allen had a poor stat (wise fg%) game against kobe...kobe played 'alrite' defense...

c-mag had a good shooting night...but kobe's D was very good...i would know..i watched the game...did you? prolly not unless you have direct tv and nba league pass cuz the game was only broadcasted on fox sports west otherwise and you're in orlando...

Your hate for kobe is crazy,if you didn't see the game then you can't judge him on his D.

Kobe ended his streak with class. Now the Lakers can focus everything on their winning streak. Nice to see Kobe didn't force it at the end despite the crowd jeering him on and his teammates trying to get him the ball. Great game by Shaq, a little slow on defense, but he looked very comfortable running up and down.

C-Maggs game is really coming around. He's finally hitting the mid-range jumper consistently and it's opening up the rest of his game. I hope the Clippers keep him around along with Elton Brand.

    Quick tidbit...

The Bulls went 3-6 during Jordan's 40-point streak in 1986.

The Lakers went 7-2 during Kobe's 40-point streak this year.

Well kobe shared the ball when he had his streak. Jordan dint really. Shows there a team on a court. And not 1 person.

There was absolutely no reason to bring back a thread this old.
