I think we discussed this last year, and I'm curious to see if anything has changed this year. The predictions should be based on the upcoming season. (That's why they are predictions.) Toughest Division - NFL AFC South NFC - South Weakest Division - NFL AFC West NFC North
TOughest-NFC East, it has 4 potential 10-13 game winners and it has maybe the 2 best coaches of modern era and 3 of the top coaches in the league in it. AFC-South- Colts, Titans, Texans and Jags, thats a lot of good offenses and the 2 MVPs. i think any of the Colts, Titans and Texans can win the division and the jags arent far behind. Weakest AFC North-it seems like the winner will only need 8, 9 maybe 10 wins to win that, i mean the browns never do anything, the steelers seem tobe going down, although Roethlsberger could change all that withthe weapons he will have but i doubt he does anything siginificant untill 2005 and the bengals are the bengals, well see if they repeat as growing and the ravens ae a 8-8, 9-7 team and they still win the division. NFC NOrth-its like the AFC north, the vikings had a good offseason, and lions had A GREAT offseason, but the packers and bears arent going anywere soon. if the vikings dont collapse then they could easily win 12, 13 games and the lions are still growing, if harrington has a good year theyd be scarybut thats IF he has a good year
NFC East is crazy - You have Philly who should win that division again, Dallas who is still rebuilding, Giants who are rebuilding, and the Redskins who spend more money than Donald Trump but always find themselves a loser by week 10. No way. AFC South - Agreed AFC North - I'm enjoying how everyone has written off the Steelers. They were in the playoffs in 2001 & 2002, miss it last year and now they suck. What's wrong with the perception here? Cincinati has improved and may or may not take a step forward with Palmer this year. Baltimore has one of the best defenses in football and one of the best running backs. I do agree that Cleveland is bad, but they did sign Garcia & draft Winslow. They are at least moving forward. NFC North - I agree on all points. They could be one of the toughest in a few years.
AFC Strongest - AFC East - Could have every team win 8 games Weakest - AFC North - Could have no team win 8 games NFC Strongest - NFC East - Could have every team win 8 games Weakest - NFC North - Only the bears will be good in this division of weak teams
SF, the only reason i diss the steelers is because i dont see them going up anymore UNLESS like i said rothelsberger plays and i doubt he will. maddox is going to have a average year IMO, like 17 TD 15 INTs, and there is no running game. i think that the Defense will be a good, like top 10 but i dont see that D carrying the team. i think they are a 7-9 wins team.
They have their o-line back intact & healthy this year. They dumped Zereoue and picked up Staley. Maddox & Burress are basically on contract years. Burress' contract is up this season, and Maddox is basically performing for a job elsewhere. Gildon is out of the system as he was getting too old to be effective. I think a lot of people will be surprised how much success the Steelers have this year. I think they will be at least 9-7 this season.
good picks GF1 you are right on target, those picks looks similar to another great man who posted on this thread
no, Steelerfans picks look a lot different JK LOL!!! Im suprised that you think your division is the easiest. But ots the truth. I beleive that the bears are a legit team this year
SF, i said 7-9 wins, i meant like they can win 7, 8 , o 9 games not a 7-9 team, maybe thats were u misunderstood me, i agree with most of whatu said hough but Staley is done IMO. he is good getting 5-10 carries but hes not a more than 10 carries back anymore.
I am with The Patriot on all accounts. We need the other Pwo & Dwo members to rise up and testify which conference is not only the toughest but best.
Toughest AFC East/South (It's a toss up as far as I'm concerned) NFC East Weakest AFC North NFC North
I'm sticking to my guns, the AFC West will be weaker than the North this year. Even if KC wins 11 games.
San Diego will be terrible but I think oakland may make a little comeback this season but you do have a point SF.
In the NFC: the NFC East is the strongest, followed closely by the South. The West is the worst. In the AFC: The East is the strongest, with the south second. The North is the worst.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pats37)</div><div class='quotemain'>San Diego will be terrible but I think oakland may make a little comeback this season but you do have a point SF.</div> Everyone is assuming that Oakland will rebound and Denver will be good. Oakland will rebound a little, but I think Denver is in trouble. Just my opinion of course. Not to mention it remains to be seen if KC has fixed there defense. In the North, Baltimore will be good, no one obviously think Pittsburgh will turn it around, but I do, Cincinnati is sketchy because of Palmer, and Cleveland did acquire Winslow & Garcia... The North is weak, but I'm not so sure they're the weakest.
I love the NFC EAst, but in no way is it the strongest. Coaching wise maybe, but the talent is just not there. EAgles are so far and ahead better then the rest of the teams, not even close. Toughest: AFC East Easiest: NFC North
