Bulls coach Bill Cartwright is giving his team the day off today, but it's likely going to require more than 24 hours to cool the tensions that erupted Monday night after a loss to the Orlando Magic.

Rookie guard Jay Williams ripped the direction the franchise is headed, indicated there's a rift between players and coaches and said changes have to be made. He even suggested one of those changes could be shipping off Williams.

Co-captain Jalen Rose couldn't believe the remarks and said players have to be professionals and get the job done.

As far as the rift between players and Cartwright, Williams said: "I think so, a little bit. But that's what this could do to you, losing this many games.

"It's definitely frustrating and makes you second-guess yourself and second-guess everything that's going on here. Chicago deserves a winner. It's a great city, and I love being here. When you play the same way for a long time, it can become very dull. It kills my heart to hear the fans boo.''

Williams' agent, Bill Duffy, was in Washington on Saturday and talked with Bulls operations chief Jerry Krause. Williams and Crawford are hoping Crawford plays more shooting guard so they can be on the court together, but Cartwright has been reluctant.

"Jamal and I have matched up head-to-head, but we never see what we can do together,'' Williams said. "Let me play shooting guard, which I played [at Duke].

"Try something. How many have we lost? I stopped counting after 10.''

Well, he's got a good point there, they do have to try something, that ****ing triangle offense is killin' the team.

The first mistake was getting rid of Tim Floyd. He just needed more time to re-work the triangle. The Lakers had to re-work it to accomadate Shaq. With the right coach and system the Bulls could be next year's version of this year's Warriors.

they've got to just use a fast break style offense, if J-Will wants to run with J-Rose and Jamal Crawford, you've got to have a fast break style offense when you've got players that quick.
