<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "Big D":</div><div class="quote_post">Hate to tell you, but Chauncey went off against Kobe, not Fisher. This was the guy I heard people hyping for Defensive Player of the Year. I don't think there's any doubt after tonight that that award still belongs to Big Ben.</div> Wow, I didn't catch the game, so I made a poor assumption. Kobe really got lit up then. No 1st team defense selection, please. Not after you get abused by Chauncey Billups. No offense to him or the Pistons.
Chauncey is one of the top rising stars in the league. Check his progress throughout the season, and you'll see that Kobe's not the only one getting torched lately. He's going to be a superstar if he keeps improving. That's a big IF, of course, but I think he has the drive.

I don't think he will ever be a star as in "all-star." In any event, Kobe got lit up, so all is good.
Big D you forgot to mention Kobe hurt his calf in the 1stQ. Not to take anything away from Billups night, but I think Kobe can shut him down.
I didn't see that. Was that in the first 6 minutes 'cause I didn't get back in time for the tipoff. He moved well whenever I saw him. I thought the biggest problem of the night for the Lakers was Jackson's horrible decisions. He didn't make good substitutions and he didn't call a TO when the Pistons were flat-out killing the Lakers.
yeah it happened in like the first 2 or 3 minutes into the game. he sprained his calf and was on the ground for awhile.
Chauncey straight up abused kobe tonight!!! okur schooled shaq and made him look stupid.Ben was great on the boards and had a nice block on shaq too...rip had a good game and hit like 10 straight....just a great allround performance by the team tonight. I got some great pictures...even got pics taken with Chauncey, rip and big ben after the game. When i get them sorted i will upload them and post them on here Such a great win tonight..and a needed one.As pacers lost.... 8) As for Some laker fans thinking it would be an easy win? lol...well that proves they have no idea what pistons basketball is all about. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO TOP OF THE EAST BABY!!
Big Ben didn't look like he was scared of Shaq, he threw the crap out of Shaq's shot....TAKE THAT SHAQ!
We had to break up the daily Laker fan makeout sessions. Don't screw with Piston fans. We're witty as hell.
good game...but its still a meaningless win...and the nba champion is still decided in the Western Conference Finals...so gloat all you want...i'll be surprised if the Pistons make it out of the first round of the playoffs...

NO... we all know the NBA champion will come out of the west. But we are the best in the east and that means something to us and so does this win.As for pistons not making it out the first round? lol it is more likely L.A getting beat in round one than it is than the pistons in the east.If you face spurs..watch out. Your role players suck big time...i thought L.A would win the title again but now i don't beleive it so much..after seeing your team play live tonight. They were bad..and if shaq plays anything like this in the playoffs you are in big trouble....doesn't get much easier for you guys in this trip either But good luck.........
thats big talk from a team whose hopes lie in an unproven and inconsistent scorer (hamilton), a streaky shooter (billups), and a power forward who as great as he may be, can't score to save his life (wallace)... if you matchup against the Magic or the Bucks, those teams are explosive and have the ability to run all over you...Kobe is a better defender on SG's and SF's but GP has the ability to shut down people at both the PG and SG spot...while Kobe can still do a good job defending PG's, Payton is better at this and Chauncey won't be able to do jack against him... Wallace will be able to effectively slow down Gooden's impact in the post...but there's no answer for Giri and T-Mac...they can easily shoot their way right past you guys into the second round of the playoffs... i understand this may be a big win for your team, but at the same time its not a big loss for the Lakers...i think that the Lakers, subconsciously, like proving things to themselves just as much as they like proving things to other people...i wouldn't be surprised if subconsciously, the lakers wanted to finish in 6th so that they would have to go through Sac, SA, and Dallas on their way to another title (should they get there)...because this is the only way that people will ever recognize LA as the true champion...if Dallas, SA, or Sac eliminate eachother, then people are always gonna say 'well if dallas hadnt lost to sac, they coulda beat the Lakers' etc. etc. ":roll I hate it when fans say rubbish like it was only one game meaningless game but if your team won you wouldn't be saying that would you? NO... " LOL i LOVE it when fans have to hold on to big wins during the regular season because THEIR team can't come up them in the post-season the way OUR team can...but good luck to you too...i actually enjoy detroit's scrappy kinda play (i think thats wut ppl dont understand about me...i like every team in the league, except for the Kings, so long as they're not playing against the lakers...and even then, i appreciate the greatness of the way the Kings play basketball, they are a perfect example of team play and superior ball movement and its a great thing to watch the Kings play...i just hate them =P)
lol BEN WALLACE don't need to score....Dennis Rodman was successful and didn't score....what's ur point?
