but i thought maybe we could get a few things straightened out.
I think we should have a util player this year a RB/WR.

I would love to draft single D players this year instead of drafting a DEF

The D player draft would be fine, but in a 16 team draft (32 teams total) the draft would be 8 hours long. I say we stick with team special teams & defense. We consider the utility player, but the talent is going to be so thin it's going to be difficult to have enough to have 2 decent running backs and receivers.

True...but with our egos, we like to think this is more skill than luck. You do need some luck, but this would be going a little overboard. If you didn't think Engram was going to do anything, why would you draft him unless it was just luck as to who was available.

800 yards isn't exatly pro bowl material. There will always be surprises and busts. It's putting together a team that's good enough to win consistantly that matters.

In a 32 team league Bobby Engram and 800 yards is a solid starter....if we go that thin, I dont think we should have the utility guy...although individual defensive players are interesting, the draft would take forever....there is another option with the draft though, we could do a live draft for the 1st 10 or 15 rounds then go to a message draft system in which you have a certain amount of time to post your pick...it woudl take a few weeks to finish that, but its not like we dont have the time....

Exactly what was your record at the end of season? [IMG]

The real key to fantasy football is getting into the playoffs and then starting your charge. Many a regular season champ has watched from the outside after the first playoff week.

I am against a draft that takes weeks to complete. In the money league I'm in (and I hold myself to one per year), we are constantly trying to find ways to draft as close to opening day as possible; Too many changes late in camp (and the exhibition season).

All's fair in love and fantasy football. A strong bench is good for trade bait... Trades make up too small a number of the total transactions in most leagues if you ask me.

Your Bench can be the key especially if you pick up the rudi johnsons of the world when you really don't need a running back cus then you can strengthen your weaknesses with a trade. Also the injury factor as well. Did you guys have a DL spot per team?

My bad I meant IL (injured list) but I'd be down with picking one defensive player as well.
