Sack stat is a joke anyway. They should just record tackles for loss, whether it's a QB or a RB, it shouldn't matter.

How bout a team go winless? That would be hilarious though it is highly unlikely

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Giantsfan12004)</div><div class='quotemain'>O stop crying already!!!!!!!!!!! he got it CHEAPELY yes but no one ever said that lifes fair!!!!!!!!!!

Favre is a true gentlemaqn and the bigger gentelman was Gastenue who took it like a man. Was it fair no but the record is broken.</div>

Sure, it was broken...on paper, but he didn't actually earn it. All I am saying is that it is a record that should not belong to him because it was given to him. That's like a basketball player throwing the ball up against the backboard and getting his own rebound just to break a rebounding record.

I'm really hoping to see the Patriots go undefeated, and you now, it's not really too far out of the realm of possibility.

1)I would like to see LaDainian Tomlinson join the 2000 rushing yards club.

2)Randy Moss break Jerry Rice s most receiving yards in a season.

3)Anquan Boldin have another 100 reception season.

4)Peyton Manning win the MVP award one more time.

    5)Larry Fitzgerald win rookie honors.

I'm sorry to disagree with a fellow pats fan but it is borderline impossible. That would be awesome as a pats fan but It basicly can't happen cus after winning 15 in a row last year we would then have to rattle off another 16 this season....just not possible. 31 in a row would shatter what is basicly an untouchable record.

I dont see it happening for any team anytime soon, no disrespect to the Pats(by which i mean much disrespect to the Pats)...I find it very intersting that if New England goes 3-0 they will tie the Dolphins record of 18 straight and then who comes a calling in the 19th? The Miami Dolphins....over the last 30 years, the Dolphins have always come through when it came time to protect the records of the '72 team, most notibly when they beat the nearly unbeatable 85 Bears(thank god they did it, its my arguement equalizer when dealing with BF1)....I dotn want to see the Patriots even tie that record(The Colts may take care of the whole thing on opening night), but if they do, it will be sweet to see the Dolphins defend some of thier legacy at the "Razor"....

Well Beef your phins will fail this time....haha but seriously I don't consider it a tie even if we win the next three because the dolphins went undefeated for a season which I think it is harder than winning 15 in a row then starting the next season 3-0. Last season we could have had a shot if we reacted better to lawyor milloy in week 1 and if brady got a break or two in washington we could have and should have won that game but shit happens. The way I look at it is the pressure is much more intense to go a whole season without a loss than to win 18 straight over 2 seasons. Though It will make for good TV if we can win our first 3 and have to beat the phins at home for a so called record. I'd take it but would still put and * next to it.

i think the patriots would be more impressive since the level of competition during their streak was hard. where the dolphins pretty much coasted past weak opponent after opponent.

yea last season, the patriots were trailing a lot and sometimes it took the final quarter to get things right. especially against the texans, it was the last drive and you scored to put it to OT. you also had quite a few games that were closer than 10 points, so i think i can say that the patriots deserved what they got

on the other hand, i wasnt around for the '72 dolphins, but i have heard they were a good team, but as i said, i wasnt there so i cant say anything about them

As always BF1 has an agenda....by denouncing the '72 Dolphins schedule, he can convince himself that the 85 Bears were better....pretty damn sad....the fact remains, the '72 Dolphins were issued a schedule, played every opponent on that schedule, won every regular season game, won 2 playoff games, and then the Super Bowl....so they did everything they were supposed to do...the bottom line is 17 wins, No loses, No ties, and frankly no debate....and if someone else has an NFL team that went undefeated and untied, I'd would be willing to listen to the debate....

I agree! But I don't think it'll happen anytime soon as he will be playing the season injured (again).

Unfortunately, the bag on beefs head is cutting of the oxygen from his brain. If someone has a 100 ft hill in front of them and they climb it without slipping it is an accomplishment. However, if a 16 mile peak is set in front of another and they slip once near the top but recover to set their flag on top, the accomplishment is greater.

I hear what you saying BF1 and I'd agree that the level of competition may have been greater but to go an entire season without a loss, in my eyes, is much more difficult just because of the percentages alone.

its ridiculous to compare any 2 NFL schedules as a "100 foot hill" and a "16 mile peak"...its more like this, and this is worst case scenario....someone sets out to climb a mountain, the highest mountain in the world is 1000 feet....the climber runs into some problems but gets to the top....13 years later, another climber goes to climb the same mountain, but becuase of a shift in the earths plates, the Mountain now measures at 1020 feet....the second climber though slips and never makes it to the top....thats the difference, if perfection is that mountain the '72 Dolphins climbed to the top, NO ONE ELSE HAS....not to mention those Dolphins went on to win another Super Bowl the next year....they went 32-2 over a 2 year span, find an NFL team that had a better run....you keep telling yourself that 18-1 is better than 17-0....what ever helps you sleep at night....

We got our superbowl ring and that is all that matters in the end, right?[IMG]

exactly 4th the super bowl ring is the top of the mountain. It is not the same size mountain because the tasks set befor the 2 teams were different. the bears played several hard opponents in the regular season and playoffs, the dolphins played the easiest schedule of any champion EVER!! if the situation were reversed and the dolphins had to play as tough as opponents they would not have even glimpse the top of the mountain, they would have needed a resuce crew to keep them from dying of hypothermia.
