Ben Wallace was a beast tonight. For some reason AI couldn't get anything done tonight. Also Billups was on fire from downtown. The Pistons are definately the team to beat in the East.

    FINAL - 113 to 85 DETROIT WINS

    Great Game(for pistons)

Well, my pistons won it. Thats right my pistons.
Give credit to Chauncy and Rip for wearing Chauncy down offensively, chauncy with his shooting and speed and rip who's the energizer bunny never stops moving with or without the ball on offense. Then they both ran around him on defense.
Carlisle's gameplan was to push Iverson straight down the middle of the court. At first it sounds like a stupid plan, giving Iverson the middle, its exactly what he wants. But, when you think about the pistons... think... think i promise it'll come to you.... there you go... NO FLY ZONE! OH YEAH BEN WALLACE!!!!!
    muhaha!
EVERYTIME Allen got through BOOM BLOCKED BY WALLACE OUT OF NO WHERE.
Carlisle a generally refined coach said "Bens blocks were insane", and that sums it up he came flying out of no where and was so fast getting to the blocked shots, AI had only 5 points.

Something to really look at was Wallace in the opening few minutes was driving and backing down looking to score, very rare for Wallace but it paid dividends.

Mehmet Okur impressed me(as usual). But most of all Chauncy was able to get a rest in the second quarter after he scored 16 in the first because Chucky Atkins back from injury was sensational, played like one of the best point guards out there a flash from his better games last year as a starter. But all good things must end(exception of billups clutch shooting) Atkins sat out the second half after complaining of pain in his knee which he was on the injured list on up till tuesday.

Great game for the Pistons, just what they needed to silence the "Philly is gonna get #1 in the east" bandwagon fans who say they are true basketball fans. They're nothing but repeated info from ESPN and TNT [IMG]. Pistons look strong they have won 6 of 7 since that 7 game losing streak.

As far as Philly goes, if you take Iverson out of the game then Philly cant win, as far as New Jersey goes, they dont have the confidence to pull out of close games anymore. Boston is well Boston... I dont think i need to explain why they wont take 1st in the east.

And Indiana... well one word.... better yet just the last name of a certain player... nevermind I think you figured it out already. [IMG]

The Piston backcourt played brilliant tonight. They wouldn't allow AI to get any perimeter shots off. They would just close the gap and force AI to drive right into Ben Wallace's No Fly Zone. I think Ben might be getting more offensive minded after he made a 3pt shot against the Lakers. The Pistons play some great team ball and are willing to make the extra pass to the open shooter. I think that's also why they unloaded Stackhouse, who likes to force shots. Pistons are the team to beat in the East.

To me it was a surprise cuz their best player scored less than Ben Wallace....5 POINTS! Now u could say the Sixers have no team chemistry because u can't be on a hot streak if u lose by 30....

Allen Iverson had 180 some game streak with double digit in points till last night when the Pistons just shut him down. Ben Wallace keeps on getting 20+ boards. 9 blocks and 7 of those in the first half.

yes well, its clera that wwhen iverson isnt isnt on the rest of the team is incapable of winning. thats why they wont stay on the hot streak even when iverson returns to form and wont go deep in the playoffs

AI isn't going to have off nights like that very often, and most teams don't have a Ben Wallace to protect the hoop. But it clear, if you stop AI the 76ers offense is incapable of competing, but you could say that for most teams with only 1 star. Shutdown T-Mac and Orlando will most likely lose. Shutdown Kidd and the Nets most likely will lose. etc. etc. Vanilla Horn was supposed to be the #2 option, but he hasn't panned out, and he has never performed well in the post-season. Too bad DC can't get into shape and play for consistently. 76ers will have tough time in the post-season against strong defensive units like Detroit and Indiana.
