As a Pistons fan, here's how I see the East, as compared with them:

    4 Biggest Threats (in order):
    Indiana
    New Jersey
    Boston
    New Orleans

    4 Biggest Non-Threats (in order):
    Washington
    Orlando
    Milwaukee
    Philadelphia

to me a scary team to play during the regular season, if you are fighting for position is the grizzlies. u can laugh at me all u want, but they are playing some great ball.

    magic
least scared- philadelphia(always seem to have their number)

most scared- anyone with a good center/pf.(pacers, hornets, nets)
    celtics(always play the magic good)

bostons also scary because theyre never out of a game no matter how many points theyre down and in thes playoffs they wont have kenny anderson or vin baker holding them back. any team that has two of the top 15-20 playhers in the game like the celts do in pierce and wlaker must be considered very dangerous in teh playoffs where games often come down to one teams best one or two players vs. the others

now when the celtics are hitting the three pointer like they can, they are able to beat any team out there, cept maybe the mavs and lakers. But too often i watch the celtics games and they not hitting, and they end up getting beat by bad teams or getting blown out by the good ones. Good enough team to make the playoffs, i doubt with the system they have now, that they ever win a title

well theoretically youre exactly right, ecxept that Obrien is a great coach and demonstrated last year that he knows how to get his players to take it up three notches when the playoffs start much like the lakers do and as a result the celtics came within 6 wins of doing exactly what you said they could not do: winning a title. clearly they wont do that as no one in the east ccan compete with the mavs and kings but i don't see why this squad wont ever make the finals. you never know the way the east is so close together now they could concievably do it this year. but they certainly arent the favorite by any standard. theyre just a team that poses a serious threat to any team they play in the playoffs even top seeded teams like new jersey and detroit ( who the easily disposed of last year)

I think any team in the east could go on a streak in the playoffs and make a difference.

But i can see the celtics winning. I dont hate them though.

Its the same reason ND wont win the tourney. They shot the three a billion time against illinois. and if they miss just a couple of time they are in the sweet 16. they were dieing late in the season. thats why they were ranked so low. i thought at the start of the year, they could have a2 or 3 seed
