I don't know how much any you guys know about this guy but i think Jet fans will be happy about this pick-up. I think he will be an excellant back up and if he gets any injury time, he will excell. I live in Edmonton Canada and have watched him play QB up here the last two years. The guy is a very accurate passer and is very cool in the pocket. He came out of no where , beginning his first year third string and after some injuries got in and lead the team to the Grey cup and brought them back again the next year to win it. Very clutch type money QB, I think that he is better then Garcia was before he left to SF and think that he will have sucess somewhere as a starter.
Welcome to the Forums stonebreaker! I honestly haven't heard anything about this guy. It shoudl be interesting to see if he's a "diamond in the rough" unknown type player or not. I will keep an ear to the door on him.

Joe Kapp Karl Sweetan Doug Flutie Jeff Garcia Who can name any others who come south to start in the NFL? Will Ricky Ray be next?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Zackman)</div><div class='quotemain'>Joe Kapp Karl Sweetan Doug Flutie Jeff Garcia Who can name any others who come south to start in the NFL? He isn't from the CFL, I don't think, but he is a native. Then, I guess that would bring up Mark Rypien. Oh, who was that QB for the Bears that was the NFL's first black QB? He was a CFL'er I think.
Are you thinking of HENRY BURRESS 71? It might not be who you are thinking of but that is the only name that I can think of right now.

I would have never remembered it though.
I don't think Burress ever started a game. Did Thrower? I must admit I have never heard of him. How did I forget Moon??? LOL
After researching, it appears Thrower didn't start either. He came in for Blanda and it was his first and last game.... http://espn.go.com/classic/obit/s/2002/0221/1338084.html
