He drained that nice two and won the game for LA!!! The Lakers were trailing by 23 by the Griz at one point.
I didnt get to see the shot in the game nor the replay on Sportscenter but Im not surprised. Kobe has always been a player who can step it up in the clutch, and lead his team to a victory. My only comment is: how can the Lakers be trailing by 23 to the Grizzlies?
grizzlies were just shootin the ball really well and the Lakers were shootin the ball pretty poorly...plus the Lakers had a ton of turnovers... JDub is playin the best ball of his career in the home stretch of this season...he is one of the most skilled PG's in the L, always has been, but now he's actually making smarter decisions and getting his teammates good wide open looks...number 2 in the league assist/turnover ratio right now...not too bad... but yah...Kobe was clutch...what amazed me even more was how calm he seemed...he caught the ball and it seemed like he already knew he had the game won...3.3 seconds left and he catches the ball and just slowly turns and faces up on battier holding the ball with one hand...and then when the clock was down to like 2 seconds...he took one hard dribble to his right and just raised up and pulled the jumper over battier as the buzzer was goin off...nothing but net...it was really pretty...
Great job by Pargo & Rush getting the Lakers back in the game. Kobe has ice water in the veins. Clutch!!!!
