I dont know if you guys you watch any nhl hockey
or not. But at the end of the year in the nhl they give
out awards for each induvidual accomplishment.

In hockey they have a award its called a masterson
award its for a player who has persaverence in
    something with heart etc.

In the nfl they should come out with a award like that.
Called (pat tillman award) For someone who overcame
all odds, whether it was a injury,or sickness or act of
    heriosim.

In my opinon patt tillman was a hero and a role model.
Im glad people like pat protects our country. Every
day i do something i do recognize, in other countrys they
are not able to do the things we can.
As a former marine in our armed services
we all have that same feeling for pat.

I hope the nfl makes a trophy award for him, and
to give it to others who overcome such adversitys.

I only have one problem with it....What NFL player deserves the Pat Tillman award?? Its an insult to every american soldier to give that award to a player for anything he does on the field....so who? Not that it compares to Tillmans courage or perseverence, but I suppose Robert Edwards would have been a candidate a few years ago after coming back from the injury...and possible Favre from a few years ago when he beat the pain killer thing, and Kerry Collins who licked alcoholism to take a team to the Super Bowl....Jurevicuis playing so well while his son was dying somewhat qualifies, but still, its all on the field stuff, and none of it does justice to Tillmans legacy...

Course it could never live up to what tillman did off the
field. But more less a award for someone who had
bravery, perceviance thru an injury or a situation
like jurevicous had. I like to see something in
    rememberence to tillman.

Yup edwards, hearst, reggie brown to walk again after
laying paralyzed in det for some time when hurt in
    that game. anything.

i would also like to see some kind of recognition to tillmans legacy.. i think he was a great player on and off the field.

earlier this year, i think it was LSUpackFan who showed it, there was a petition to remember tillman on the first game of the season, maybe someone could start a petition about the award.

i like the idea, but it is a insult to al the other soliders that gave up a lot more than PT. i mean PT gave up a new family, and 4 million dollars, but what about the soliders that gave up a family, new or old and their salary that kept their family surviving? i think its a great idea to pay tribute to ALL the soliders including PT, but not only PT and forget the rest of the soliders

well, i guess i should have mentioned that, i really didnt mean only PT, i should ahve said this, his award could be a symbol for what the soldiers in iraq go through everyday.

the award could go to the player that has done the most for his team on the field, and all the charity or things he did for his community, city, state, etc.
