That proposed new stadium for the Vikings looks unbelievable. Two massive stainless steel arches, an entire section that looks like a viking longboat, and *outdoor* weather. I hear it gets cold up there in Minneapolis. I wonder why the Lions wanted another indoor stadium. Winter in Detroit is brutal, and one would think that it makes for a proven home-field advantage.

Has the proposal gone through? I read that the Colts could be a possibility to be in Los Angeles in 2008. Is Minnesota another possibility for moving in the near future?

The stadium bill has not passed. People in MN are idiots when it comes to stadiums. The dome sucks! If we don't spend money on a stadium, it will be wasted elsewhere anyway! Might as well spend it on something useful.

I don't think the team will be shipped to LA. The Vikings are too much of a standard here in the cities.

It is pretty stupid that they can't get a stadium deal done...it should be pretty easy if Red McCombs would just put forward the money.

I can't believe they can't get together a consortium of business owners in the area to put up a stadium. You could buy an entire area and turn it into restraunts, entertainment places, and hotels. A stadium, if done right, could make a ton of money.
