It's almost here so why not.

West

1 San Antonio
2 Sacto
3 Dallas
4 Minny
5 La
6 Portland
7 Utah
8 PHX

San Antonio advances to second round PHX out
Utah advances to second round Sacto out(I got that feeling)
Portland advances to second round Dallas out(Look at results Portland own Dallas)
Los Angeles advances to second round Minny out

Second round

San Antonio advances to Conf. Finals Utah out
LA advances to conf. Finals Portland out

Conf. Finals

San Anotnio advances to Final LA out [IMG] [IMG]

Finals

San Antonio beats some Eastern team (I'll do the East later)

WEST
Dallas(1) vs. Phoenix(8 )
Sacramento(2) vs. Utah(7)
San Antonio(3) vs. Los Angeles(6)
Portland(4) vs. Minnesota(5)

CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS
Dallas(1) vs. Portland(4)
Sacramento(2) vs. Los Angeles(6)

CONFERENCE FINALS
Portland(4) vs. Los Angeles(6)

EAST
New Jersey(1) vs. Milwaukee(8)
Detroit(2) vs. Orlando(7)
Indiana(3) vs. Boston(6)
Philadelphia(4) vs. New Orleans(5)

CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS
New Jersey(1) vs. New Orleans(5)
Indiana(3) vs. Orlando(7)

CONFERENCE FINALS
Indiana(3) vs. New Orleans(5)

NBA FINALS
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Indiana Pacers

Lakers in 5

Breakdown - WEST
If Portland can take out Minnesota, which is likely, and Dallas remains number 1 than it looks likely for Portland to advance into the conference finals. Also, if LAL get matched up with San Antonio, than the Spurs are toast, no matter the level they are playing at now, the Lakers are the best, (I can't believe I just said that!). LAL will go all the way and win it all again, unless Sacramento can win, which I doubt, but it is possible, I just can't see it happen.

Breakdown - EAST
New Jersey will take advantage of a weakened Piston squad with Big Ben out and claim the number 1 spot, facing Gary Payton and the Bucks in the first round. New Orleans hasn't had Baron all year so now that they have him they are an improved team and can take out possibly anyone, aka this years Cinderella. Orlando will also take advantage of a Benless Piston squad and advance to the semis to only be crushed by Jermaines Pacers. New Orleans and Indiana in the conference finals, another Indiana blowou, making the Pacers advance to the finals to lose in 5 games to the indestructable Lakers. ITS 2000 ALL OVER AGAIN!

I don't see how New Orleans will beat Philadelphia. That's a pretty bad analasys, plus Philly is third.

Good points Hapnnsas but there's simply no way LA can beat San Antonio they'd have to win a game @ San antonio and you know how good San Antonio's road record is.

The season isn't over and Philly I think will go down a spot, and the Lakers are a WHOLE different team in the playoffs.

EAST ANALYSIS
The East is very weak this year but the Sixers will be on the up and up pretty soon. Pacers and Nets are on a downward spiral and won't do much come playoff time.

WEST ANALYSIS
The West is full of great teams this year. People are tryin to hype up the Spurs and Blazers but they won't do much. Blazers have an early exit thanks to the Wolves. Lakers will give the Spurs their exit 2nd round, Spurs have nothing to stop Shaq or Kobe....no matter what any of u say.

True in the 3 games this season its SAC 2 - UTA 3 and 1 was OT which sacto won. Utah won by 10pts in one game and Sacto just won in the other.

magic won tonight in indy and tmac had 35, but i agree with you there, because i don't think that the magic can beat the pacers in a best out of 7 series.

actually you havent'...the way the NBA playoffs are constructed goes like this:

Top Two Teams in each conference: the WINNERS of their respective divisions...(the one with the better record getting the number 1 overall seed)

Quoted from espn.com standings page:
"The top eight teams in each conference qualify for the playoffs. The division winner with the best record in each conference is seeded No. 1, the other division winner is seeded No. 2 and the remaining six teams are seeded Nos. 3 - 8 according to their won-lost records. (Home-court advantage in all playoff series is determined by better won-lost record, not higher seeding.)"

in the Western Conference Case...that would mean the winners of the Midwest and Pacific divisions...San Antonio and the Mavs are both in the Midwest division...only one of them can win...which means that only one of them can be a top 2 seed...whoever finishes in front of the Midwest division will be the number 1 seed (i believe since they prolly will have a better record than Sac) ...leaving the other to be the number 3 seed...

the final 6 teams are chosen strictly by record with no regard to division and are ranked in order according to record...meaning you are wrong and i am right...and i hope your 'do your research cuz i did mine' comment was not meant to be an insult to my knowledge of basketball because if it was then i laugh in your face....HA HA...i dunno why you had to try and talk smack to me...i didn't talk smack in my first post directed at you...it was literally a 'friendly reminder' that SA and Dallas can't be seeded 1&2...but since you started it...i have no regrets about making you look like an idiot...did you REALLY think that you had me ? lolllllllll oh man that was so entertaining...i coulda just stayed home all friday night laughing at you (thank God i didn't cuz otherwise i woulda felt like a big loser)...

thanks i'll be here all week folks!
