ATLANTA - For the first time in a Nets uniform, Jason Kidd questioned his teammates effort, called them out for their performance.

Speaking in restrained and calm tones - while insisting he wasn't upset - Kidd after wasting the 50th triple double of his career said there "was no effort at all" and stressed disappointment following the Nets' bitter 97-92 defeat to the go-nowhere-in-a-hurry Hawks here last night.

The setback dropped the Nets into a tie for first place in the Eastern Conference with Detroit, but it was a damaging loss because the Pistons hold the tie-breaker edge.

That Spurs uniform is looking real good right about now for Jason Kidd.

still think the nets have no chance of being upset in the first round?

If his teammates are like this in the playoffs then he will go somewhere else for sure.

Well it almost happened with Indy but I'll bank on the fact it was only one game.

I don't see any reason for the Spurs to sign Jason Kidd and risk alienating Tony Parker. . . JKidd is 30 and only getting older, TP is like 21? and getting better every game he plays.

but who cares about tony parker if u can get kidd? parkers great but when u have a chance to land a guy who can almost gaurentee a championship to your team. u go for it. who CARES how alienated tony parker gets. and yes i thinik the nets will lose the first round of the playofffs to the magic or celtics if philly overtakes the division

It would be a waste of great talent if the Spurs got Kidd, when u have Tony Parker you dont need another good point guard. When Parker gets better, the spurs get better.

but when u have the chance to get kidd and if u get him parker becomes expendable. u can trade for a better player or put him on the bench. there have been p.enty of great bench players in the NBA. u need players like that on the bench to win championships. trust me, tony parkers feelings are going to have very little impact on whether or not the spurs sign kidd

I feel We aren't getting kidd now...parker has impressed and is going to be the starting PG for a long time...the plan is to go after jermaine o'neal and the kandiman...to replace d-rob.
