If Manning isn't ready to go, Warner would be the starter. But if Manning plays well in the preseason and is ready to play, then he would be the starter.

They also want a seasoned veteran to coach Manning. Kurt is used to sitting on the bench and has proven to be able to mentor some very good quarterbacks.

I would be surprised if he takes the job...he wants to be a starter and could probably find a team somewhere.

Warner can only hope to compete for the starting job. He won't be handed one anywhere in the league.

If I was warner or any of the free agent QB's I would be begging dennis green to take me on. Nevermind the receiving core of Boldin, Fitzgerald, and Bryant Johnson but Green has had success resurecting older QB's and what better project to have than Kurt Warner. The guy did light the league on fire for a short period and if he ever finds that confidence again he could be great.

It seems a little odd, because apparently, Manning starts WHENEVER he's ready, no matter what the situation. What if it's 10 weeks into the season and Warner is doing really well, and the Giants are in contention?

Coughlin is a guy who always puts winning first. The guy scares me a little that guy has no emotion whatso ever no strings attached if there losin he will have the balls to say Kurt your out or Eli your out or whatever the case is

i think kurt will definatly start the season but if he fumbles 5 times in the first game or blows up like that Eli wont be sitting on the bench for very long

Warner should start. He has proven to everyone he is a great leader, and with a young Manning watching and learning everything he has to show. This team should'nt have to worry about QB's for a while.
I played against Eli my sophmore year in highschool, the kid has an amazing talent. He just needs a mentor to show him the ropes of the NFL.
