this would be a pipedream but apparently there's a lot of brotherly love between KG and Kobe. man, that would suck for the rest of the league... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Of all the players in the NBA, you know who Kobe Bryant respects more than any of them? "K.G.,'' he said. Yep, Kevin Garnett. "He's my man right there,'' Bryant said. "There's a lot of love.'' The love goes back to Bryant's second season in the league. He was playing in his first All-Star Game, and K.G. took him under his wingspan. "There was all this hype, and K.G. came to me and said, 'Run with me. I'll get you involved.' He threw me a lob, and I dunked it. He patted me on the back and gave me that big smile of his. It relaxed me,'' Bryant said. "Once he got that first basket, I knew he'd be cool,'' Garnett said. "Since then he's played with that confidence.'' So, now you know. It was Garnett who stoked the flame that still burns white-hot in Bryant. "Since that day, I've loved Kevin,'' Bryant said. "If I have an older brother in the league, besides Shaquille (O'Neal), it'd be K.G.'' At this year's All-Star Game, Bryant wanted to, as he put it, "return the favor." He made sure Garnett got the ball as much as possible, and K.G. was selected the game's most valuable player. "He deserved it,'' Bryant said. "He's great, man.'' It's a heartwarming little story. This next part isn't so warm and cuddly, particularly if you're a Timberwolves fan. Bryant says he has urged K.G. "plenty of times" to come join him on the Los Angeles Lakers after his contract is up with the Wolves. "I wish I played with him,'' Bryant said. "No doubt. No question.'' Can you imagine? Kobe. K.G. Shaq. Yikes. The Lakers might just 10-peat. "You never know,'' Garnett said with a smile when asked about becoming a Laker. "You never know.'' for the rest of the article, check it here: http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/s...ere/5685783.htm</div>
Same story goes with VC. Vince Carter and Antawn Jamison are good friends and Vince was convincing Antawn to be a Raptor once he was finished being a Warrior. I dont know if KG would be a Laker though, I can't see it, but anything can happen.
if that happens, noone would watch the nba, because there would be no competition at all. anyway i don't think that there is anyway that that would happen.
if KG became a laker i would finally like the lakers, yea shaq might retire in a year or two and kgs contract comes up in 2 yrs though he can option out after next year i think, anyways thatd be sick team
They wouldnt be able to keep him, hes too much money, and shaq is still young, hes got about another 8 years left in the nba, maybe more. He was born in 1972, that makes him only 31 years old.
yea but shaq has seriously talked about retiring plus who wouldnt want to go out on top?...he wants to be a police officer
San Antonio is the team with the cap room, if they carry it over another year instead of spending it this off season. Garnett and Duncan is scary.
There is no chance in hell that Duncan and KG will ever play on the same NBA team. If Shaq retires the same year KG's contract is up...it's almost guaranteed that KG will be a Laker.
KG would bring LA back to contendership. They desperatly need a force down low, and KG would be the perfect solution.
