wouldn't that mean shaq is the best? . i still stand that tmac's the best player, but if you are talking mvp it's kg or td, NO KOBE 8) kobe had the best streak of games this season by far, but without shaq, kobe would be nothing.

I agree without Shaq and/or Kobe [Kobe is HELLA good but face it and some point and time he needs Shaq] Lakers are lottery. Without Duncan the Spurs are lottery. With out Jason Kidd Nets are Lottery. With out AI 76ers are Lottery. Without TMac, Magic is Lottery, and without KG T-Wilves are lottery. I think those are outstanding Players. Some attitudes can be adjusted. *cough* SHAQ *coguh* some players need to stay the hell outta my dreams tryna kill me *cough* TIM DUNCAN *coguh* and some people are just not noticed *cough* DIRK NOWITZKI, RAY ALLEN, CHRIS WEBBER *cough* okay im done...

my favorite teams are: Mavs, Sonics, & Sixers......Sonics because they got my main man and it's my hometown...but I know they're not all that at all, haha...it's alright, let's face the music, at some times of the years they were doing really badly (like that one game againt Nuggets...and it was such a close game--and I kept thinking..."what the hell...how could they be having such a close game with the NUGGETS?")...oh well...

if you take shaq away from the lakers, then of course the lakers are gonna suck. DUH. the laker team was built around shaq...we're a half-court set team. fisher, fox, horry, devean and all the other guys are on the lakers because they are half-court players that can cut and spot up...they can't create their own shots. with the triangle offense, players aren't required to be able to create their own shots...they get all of their shots thru the offense...which runs the shaq. take away shaq, and the offense is useless.

as for kobe, the triangle offense is actually inhibiting kobe from showing his full game because he is an open court kinda player. kobe could play successfully in a Princeton type offense much like the Nets. hell, if you put kobe at the top of the key and set a high pick for him, he would burn you in every way possible...make he hard drive to the basket, hit the pullup jumper, or get the assist.

so why didn't the lakers do this in the beginning of the season without shaq? management was actually considering this before the season started but they eventually scrapped the idea of changing the offense...phil wanted his team to learn to run the triangle to perfection, regardless of how poor their record would be.

honestly, i don't mind if you guys don't consider kobe the best player in the game because its hard to gauge that with shaq in the picture...but don't be dissin' my man kobe saying he is "nothing" without shaq.

put kobe on a team like the magic and he'd be just as good as tmac.

my vote is for Shaq. adding Shaq to your team makes you an overnight playoff team. Even Denver or Cleveland could make the playoffs with the Diesel. He's the most dominant force in the league.
