why should we take melo over darko? maybe because darko is 7 feet and only averages 14 pt and 7 rebounds, in other words theres too much hype about him. Carmelo has an all around game, and the raps can take a big man off the free agent list, or trade mo pete and eric montross for a decent one.

the raps dont have much money for free agent toronto is a multi culterial place so darko would feel at home plus hes a big man we could sign him long term carmello would likely leave 14ppg 7 rpg but hes playing in the pros and hes 17.

I guess you didnt know that Darko can play 3 positions, his comparisons are KG and Tim Duncan. We need a big man. This kid has tons of potential. Very good passer. I like Carmelo more but if we get second it will be Darko.

if chris bosh can put on some weight id rather draft him, and if we need a big man, it doesnt matter if he can play 3 postions...

with all the injuries on our team. yea it does, it matters alot franchise. I think 2 extra positions is a great add on for the raptors that need all they can get.

Well its definitly not a bad thing. Instead of trying to thing of all the negatives of Darko, think of the positives.

i guess its easier to look at the negatives because more positives is a good thing, and when they have less negatives, its a good choice to draft them...

Don't trust measurements that the NBA gives out...unless they are from the Chicago draft camp or some team workout, NBA measurements are shady at best...

It's another way of saying that the measurements are a little suspicious to what the real measurements are.

Things change all the time and by the time private workouts start and Chicago is all said and done, things could be flipped upside down and backwards but if the draft were today, these are the flaws I'd pick on.

The way things stand currently I can't believe that Kirk Hinrich will be drafted behind Reece Gaines or Jarvis Hayes.

Boris Diaw is probably 6-10 slots too low.

Also I'm surprised to see Malick Badiane (Germany) left out of the first round.

The biggest mistake however has to be leaving out Alexsandar Pavlovic (Yugoslavia) being left off the list (am i just missing him?). He's a potential late lottery pick, and I'd be absolutely shocked to see him slip past 20 (let alone out of the first round).

great mock - tho i doubt wade will go that high, cos he's too small to be an NBA 2 guard and doesn't have the ball handling to be a point guard yet. i think he'll go in the 12-15 range. the hype around millicic is genuine too - ppl forget he's playing against seasoned pros when putting up 14 and 7, and he's only 17

ps - hi all, i just transfered from slamonline forums [IMG]

Wade will go that high. Despite his size scouts know what kind of scorer and playmaker he is/will be. He is too talented for scouts to pass up if they have a 7-10 pick.

it all depends on draft workouts - there are about 20 players that could go top 10 at the moment, possibly more
