So, if you had the first pick in the FF draft, who do you pick as of right now??

I'd have to go with LT...with the new QB he will continue to be the center of the offense with the running game, and until SD has the WRs prove themselves, he should be a big part in the pass game, too.

McNabb was the top QB without owens, so what is he with him?

How do you figure McNabb was the #1 QB? he had 3200 yards and 16 TDs....Manning had 4200 and 29 TDs...oh and McNabb threw 11 picks while Manning threw just 10....so please explain how McNabb was better in Fantasy or just in general....

Probably the reason Owens will have 90 catches, but still not enough...i.e. DMac isn't getting him the ball enough [IMG]

I would have to pick either LaDainian Tomlinson or Priest Holmes. Peyton Manning gets some consideration, but I think fantasy football championships are built on solid running backs.

Well, Priest Holmes worked out pretty good for me last season. I'll bet on those legs one more time!

I have MaGahee in a keeper league and I only have to give up an 11th round pick... very pleased with that.

I think Ladanian or Ahman Green are the best two players out there for fantasy production. I have the second pick in my money league, so I'll have one of those guys....

The best part is that I'll have Green or Tomlinson, and I have Jamal Lewis & Magahee as keepers..... I hope its a good season!

McNabb was the top rated QB for the last few years BEFORE this season when his WR stunk it up for him. u cant say he wasnt the top Fantasy QB because he was on alot of sites, im not just being a homer.

and in general mcnabb has done more than peyton with a lot less than peyton, alot less.

Even if that were true, there's no way McNabb will be preseason ranked higher than Manning. I would draft Manning before McNabb just on risk factor alone.

Mcnabb never in his career has put up the #1 statistics for a QB in a season, and i would go as far to say that if anyone used a high pick on mcnabb for FF they would be an idiot, there are TONS of better picks. He is a good player and worth a high pick to play for a team, bad for FF league

A good fantasy team is built around a good RB, IMO...unless one is not available a good RB will always be my first pick

I'd go Priest just cus he is a goal line machine but the injury bug is still there and he is like 31-32 right? I know he is a young 31 but he is still getting up there. Ahman green is intresting but gets hurt to often(thought healthy last season) and coughs the ball up to much which can be costly in a head to head league.Though I like LT to be number 1 as well just because of the receiving production he adds. if catches count then he is without a doubt munber 1 if catches don't count I could lean towards the TD's priest delivers every week.

i would probably go w/ manning or moss... they are both really good but i really like mannings consistancy. moss(atleast in my opinoon) isnt as explosive as his rookie season

First of all, I won't be sucked into an answer without knowing the scoring system. True, in most leagues a stud RB is the way to go, but I've seen some weird bonus situations where a running (and scoring) QB would be better. Remember, the QB touches the ball on every snap.

That said, there would be maybe five RB's available in an average scoring league that I would take before my first QB... And that first QB would be Culpepper and not McNabb!

The QB can touch the ball all he wants the fact is the difference between the best QB and the 10th best QB isn't that much to warrant taking Manning or whoever in the first round. I will NEVER draft a QB in the first round unless it is some new scoring system I have never seen before that totally favors the postion. Fantasy football is won by a dominent run game cus receivers and qbs don't drop off as much as you go down the line. I can almost promise my first two picks will be running backs unless I get like the last pick of the first then it might be worth taking a receiver if one of the top two or three is available.
