April 27, 2003 In a column by Bill Plaschke of the LA Times, Bryant reveals that his father is not speaking to him and has not had contact with him since Bryant married his wife two years before. Bryant leaves tickets at games for his father, but he doesn't show. "My mom asked me to leave him a ticket, so of course I did," Kobe said, his voice dropping. "But I knew he wouldn't come down and see me. He never does." Bryant also reveals that his father has yet to see his new granddaughter at the time of the article. tha is horrible! i jsut read this...its old new i guess but its a shock....
thats fucked up. i dont care HOW much or HOW bad somebody talks or what they do.. if youre gonna be a man and stick your ding dong in you need to be a man and support your child NO matter how it is.. not seein his grandchild thats a motherfuckin shame...
wtf...his dad is retarded...it's like saying my parents would get pissed at me for dating any other nationality/racial other than Vietnamese/asian! (Which they don't really care about at all...) His dad must be blind, because he doesn't even support his kid that obviously would've want the support in that position. And the nerves of him not even seeing the granddaughter? Man, I bet she's a cutie pie ( you know Kobe got the looks, so she must, too...)! Who wouldn't want to see them babies?
I would rather have his dad not paying attention to him now than having him all of a sudden show interest. That would be sadder. Like Shaq's crack-head (no an insult mods, he really is one) dad. He abandonned him as an infant, and now that he is famous he tries to contact him almost every day. Fortunately, Shaq's foster parents won't allow them to see eachother. When you become famous they say that you find relatives you never knew you had. If someone rejects you all your life or for a long time then you shouldn't want them accepting you once you become famous. If Kobe's dad is ignorant and shallow enough to reject his own son because of his choice in brides then let him. It is his loss and he doesn't deserve to be called anyone's father.
dang...you just convinced me...yes, you shouldn't feel sad or ashamed if someone (of your relation to) whose rejected you your whole entire life and then come back (like in Shaq's case...), grr...that god damn bastard...I hate em mofos. Although if my parents didn't like my choice in grooms, I'd still want them to at least see my KIDS...you know? But I guess it is how its like...
kobe's dad is stupid. it must run in the family 8) 8) (i'm just kidding). what a racist bastard(don't know if that offends anyone)
