I can't help but wonder is signing Emmitt's would be successor means the end of the former Giant & Dolphin? With the revamped line (Drafting Gallery & Grove), the 1-2 punch of Fargas & Hambrick is looking pretty sweet especially if Gannon returns to his 2003 form. Out of curiousity, is Zack Crockett still with Oakland?

Wheatley isn't the fastest back, but he often just runs over the would-be tackler. I don't know why the Raiders don't give him the ball more often, because all he does is move the chains. I guess this shows that the new HC (Norv) is looking to create competition during training camp. Hambrick might be gone when the roster size has to shrink. 2) First, Gannon was on IR in 2003, so I hope he doesn't return to *that* form. (Okay, I know what you mean, 2002) Again, I'd rather have Wheatley instead of Hambrick. Having two good RB's will certainly help Gannon, as Norv seems to be partial to play-action stuff. 3) Yes. (I'm making the double-claw sign with my hands) BTW, he's the best short-yardage RB in the game today. 3rd and 1, 4th and 1, give Zack the ball.
May the best RB win. I suspect that none will put up the kind of numbers that Charlie Garner put up. In this situation, I must root for the new guy...Fargas. He's mostly an unproven commodity in this situation. I've already seen the rest.
Hey ROTR, have you heard any rumor pertaining to Oakland trading Buffalo for Travis Henry? I've read this twice now and I'm looking for confirmation...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Steelerfan_2004)</div><div class='quotemain'>Hey ROTR, have you heard any rumor pertaining to Oakland trading Buffalo for Travis Henry? I've read this twice now and I'm looking for confirmation...</div> No, I have heard nothing of this. I wonder who they would give up to get him? Like you mentioned in an earlier thread, there has been very little football news and lots of annoying tidbits here and there. The only Raiders news that I've been hearing lately are things like "Gallery is doing well in training camp....Gannon looks good in practice....Kerry Collins knows his role....Norv wants to get away from running-back-by-committee....<repeat headlines>". Wake me up when it's time for the FF draft.
Thanks for the heads up... I'm sure things will heat up soon. I hope so anyway! ... And don't worry, you'll get your wake up call!
Wheatly is a absolute power runner. Thye shud have never got rid of Garner, he was the flashy one, plus he had some great hands
humm, 3 average backs, all good runners, 1 good reciever, and good blockers,(correct me if im wrong), why not use the 3-headed monster? it keeps them all fresh, strong, and injury free. I know Norv likes to pass more than run, but so does AR, and it worked for us. why not?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nflfan04)</div><div class='quotemain'>welcome to the forum... hope ya stay</div> thanks for the welcome, ill be sure to stay for awhile
well i know you will... i was talkin to the eco dude(of course you probably knew thatand was just tryin to make me look stupid or soemthing)
I will stay. lol. I know Amos didnt get a lot of running time in Pitt, but I heard hehas some pretty good speed. He might be pretty good with that flashy tyhpe style running, compared to head on as in Wheatleys case.

I expect that Garner will put up great total yards-from-scrimmage numbers by the end of the season for Tampa.
Yea, remember the Green Bay game on Monday Night last year? He broke a 25-30 yrd TD run off that GB defense, with pure juking skillz. I dont see any one of the newly signed Raider RBs filing the slot of Garner. I could be wrong. Maybe Fargas needs more opportunity, or Amos
