The only reason we got him this pre-season is because nobody else would pick him up. He will want more money, and I had no idea he was a fan favourite. I thought VC, JYD, Rafer were the fan favourites. :?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "thefranchise3":</div><div class="quote_post">Yep they are (VC JYD Rafer) anyone else agree with this trade? I think it seems fair.</div> I dont like it...Why would Washington accept that? They're a center which is developing, and an SG with talent. With there new coach they will play Juan.
I like the trade....only reason the scoring is different is cuz Juan didn't get the minutes he deserved...if he did...he'd prolly average 15-16 points....
No way in hell dixon could average 15 a game..not even if he played 40 minutes a game..lenard is ok....but many times he shoots too much.....when he should be letting carter shoot...he is the man on the raptord team not lenard..
He isn't that good....he will be ok player but certainly not great...don't overrate the guy...not even amare averaged 15 a game this year..to think dixon would is just dumb
I'm not overratin him but hey...he played 42 games so why underrate him? 6 points in 42 games? 40 more game the average wouldn't be 6...i'll tell u that much...
Just because he gets 6 game in limited time doesn't mean he can in big minutes...he is just another voshon lenard..maybe not even lenard in his prime good..
Blazers Trade R.Wallace to Toronto J.McInnis to Atlanta R.Patterson to Toronto #23 to Toronto Toronto Trades A.Davis to Atlanta J.Williams to Atlanta L.Hunter to Atlanta L.Murray to Atlanta #4 to Portland Atlanta Trades T.Ratliff to Portland S.Abdur-Rahim to Portland C.Crawford to Portland Why For The Blazers They totally revamp their team. They get a potential all star in SAR, a defensive player in Ratliff and could draft Bosh with #4. pg-D.Stoudamire/A.Daniels(Resigned) sg-B.Wells/D.Anderson/Q.Woods sf-S.Abdur-Rahim/C.Bosh pf-Z.Randolph/C.Bosh c-D.Davis/T.Ratliff Why For The Raptors They get a all star big man who can play in and out. Their team gets thinned, but most of the players they trade are overpayed anyways. Patterson gives them enegry off the bench. pg-A.Williams/R.Alston(Resigned) sg-V.Carter/V.Lenard(Resigned) sf-M.Peterson/R.PattersonC.Jefferies pf-R.Wallace/M.Bradley /23 c-FA(Cambell, Rasho)/J.McCoy/23 Why For The Hawks They loose a potential all star, but gain much depth. Murray provides outside scoring, while JYD is just the hustle palyer Ham was suposta be. Antonio Davis is a monster on the boards, and Hunter is another veteran backup. McInnis would make a fine starting PG for them, alongside Terry. PG-J.Terry/J.McInnis SG-L.Murray/L.Hunter SF-G.Robinson/D.Glover/I.Newble PF-A.Davis/J.Williams C-N.Mohommad/A.Henderson

He played 35 when stack was out he scored 27. If this guy gets time (25-35 min a game) he could average 15..please you cant say he couldn't, hes a great shooter and hes quick...
So, the more minutes he plays, the more shots he will miss also. Doesnt mean he will hit all of his shots. Why would anyone even consider playing him 40 mins?

Sure he would miss shots, but he is an excellent free throw shooter, so that would also add pts to a game. He could go 4/10 and hit 6 or 7 free throws in a game.

this might be off topic, but do you think Detroit would trade Darko for Vince straight up? I don't want to see it happen, I am just curious what kind of weight Vince carries with other teams. Do you think Pistons fans would think of it as a steal, or a rip-off?
i dont think detroit would do it, because they dont need a shooting guard, or he could play small forward, but i think theyd rather have darko who is younger, and not as injury prone as vc., and also at this point in both their careers i think a lot of gm's would say darko will have a better career than vince; plus the other main thing is that i think detroit usually sells out , or at least has a pretty good fan response at their arena. i think most casual detroit fans would love it because they know vc and have never heard of darko. and anyway vince doesnt really fit in with detroit because he's not a good defensive player, of course he's still a much better defender than kenyon martin right olskool, but dumars probably knows basketball pretty well and he woudlnt make that trade. some team though with an almost superstar where the team doesnt draw any attendance would be more likely to trade for vc. say if atlanta had steve nash or someone, that would be a trade atl would make.
I agree with most of what you just said. I think some carter fans will jump all over it, but personally I agree, and I love vince(not literally). I'm worried vince is gonna get frustrated if he doesn't have a fantastic year coming up. With his injuries, and the constant criticism, his little cousin passing him buy, and the whole MJ. fiasco, I just hope he doesn't get down on himself. If he does i could see him using his leaping ability to jump up on to the moon and starting a new life for himself up there.
