most enjoyable sports championship to win? i would personally give anything to win a Super Bowl, but i think that the Stanley Cup is the best trophy and toughest to win. i mean 2 and a half months of getting a beating, than holding that cup and getting ur name on it forever. i mean thats special. world cup is probably the greatest thrill that America doesnt know because its soccer and thats the most popular sport in the world. and winning that would probably be 10000 X sweeter for the Europeans and Mexicans and soccer players to win than anything the US athletes could win in the US(world series, SB, etc) because not only is it a lifetime goal for them, the rest of the world is experiecning the thrill with them and soccer is everything to non-americans sportfans
another thing that makes the Stanley Cup special is that every player that wins it, gets to take it wherever they want for 24 hours....the thrill of returning to your hometown with that piece of hardware to share it with all the coaches, teachers, family, friends and anyone else who helped you get there, thats pretty special....
I'm surpised in the Hockey responses and although I love hockey i just think the 1 and done pressure of the Super bowl makes the game that much bigger and better. If you want to argue trophy I'd go hockey all day. There is nothing sweeter than Lord Stanley.
Im watching the Lightning and the Flyers right now and I cant sit down....damn I love this game....I always tell BF1 that I like hockey way more than basketball, and he doesnt believe me, but itsz true, I love the game....and Im from FLORIDA!!!! when the Panthers made thier improbable run to the Cup finals, it hooked me ont he game and I got into roller hockey....Im still the only guy to get put in the penalty box(x-cheching) during a pick up game at the local rink(they had no box, so I had to sit on rolled up carpet for 15 seconds, the time it took the other team to score on the PP).....I do love the game....
i am shocked the gold medal isnt getting more applause, i mean you win that for you country, but still the lombardi trophy is the hardest to win. On a global scale it would be world cup, but others can be bought.
oh i love the stanley cup, but im used to being a philly fan, why cant we seem to ever win a championship?
I would say that the Stanley Cup is the hardest to win. Hockey playoffs are really stretched out over time and playoff hockey is quite violent. The most exciting, however, is still the superbowl. No other championship packs them in like the superbowl. Its practically a holiday in this country.
the superbowl, you only have one chance to win it and you spend all season working your butt off for one game, second is easily the stanly cup, playoff hockey is the most brutal thing in the world
Speaking of hockey Go mighty Lightining! I love football and the superbowl but nothing is more entense like the stanley cup, as long as your team is in it
what about then final four JK I LOVE hockey I like it just as much as f'ball but the football championship is only 1 game. The pressure is on!!!
Bucs ST LOUIS is the man. I've been a fan of his since he played for UVM. Me and some of my highschool teammates used to alwyas talk about him back in the day but at his size I must say i'm shocked at the sucess he is having. I'm with ya bucs. GO TAMPA
I find it surprising that all these people voted for the Stanley Cup, and yet noone voted for the NBA Finals. Last time I checked exactly the same number of teams make the playoffs, and they play the same number of games. I acctually think it's harder to become an NBA champion, look at the number of teams that won in the last 10 years. It was like the same teams over and over again (Lakers, Spurs, Bulls (with MJ), and Rockets (with Olajuwon). A team like Calagary would have a hard time making it to the finals, since in the NBA the best team usually wins.
