darko is gonna surprise u guys. if he doesn't do good in his 1st couple of years, don't label him as a bust. remember tmac didn't do that great in his 1st couple of years and look at him now. darko is gonna be good.
good: raptors. bosh needs to bulk up, but he could be effective. the heat taking wade was a good move too. he's got superstar potential. i'm not gonna address the first 3 picks, because they're too obvious yea, lampe will be considered a steal once all this money stuff gets figured out. bad pick: kaman. i dont think it's the fact that the clippers picked another big man. he just didnt seem like much of a lottery pick to me. i think he'll be a bust. there arent too many non-euro, white centers out there who are successful :? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting "SwishDaddy34":</div><div class="quote_post">bad DETROIT why would they pick darko when they ycould pick carmelo darko will be a 4 sure bust and carmelo will be a superstar detroit will regret this oh wait they picked rodney white 9th overall 2 years ago</div> there's no way any of us could know that right now. he could take years to develope for all we know.
The steal of the draf thas to be lampe.in some mock draft he was listed at 5. he fell all the way to #30. That is the best steal. the team that got bad picks were memphis. they got 2 2nd round picks in the early to mid first round. the team that got bad picks were seattle. they got the right players for there team. they neaded a inside player(nick collison)and a point guard(luke ridhour)
Lampe has to be the steal, not only was he a very low pick, but he is a PF, a position the Knicks needed to fill. He will make a good impact this season and will get better. Nowitzki like? Not sure about that yet. Melo has to be the other steal, what a player to have at number 3, the best no.3 since MJ? Possibly, we'll have to see. I think my Timberwolves may have also got a steal in Ebi, a good solid pick, who will learn off KG. However picking Rickert as our second one will prove to be a big mistake. The Sonics did well, I believe with a Collison- Ridnour combo, and Orlando chose well. The biggest losers of the draft is hard to say but Golden State have to be the favourites picking another SG/SF to go along with their stronger positions. Pietrus may struggle

Sportsrock-8 Swishdaddy-5 Shadyrecords-4 Slamduncan-4 hayesb26-3 Deestillballin-3 J-mac-3 Truba03-1 raptors21-1 Everyone esle-0 Next Topic Quick Breakdown to next season tell whats gonna happen to these players Cavaliers Guard Lebron James Memphis Forward Pau Gasol Lakers Center Shaq O'neal Miami Guard Dwayne Wade Seattle Forward Rashed Lewis Indina Forward Al Harrington What will happen to them:will they make the all star game will they improve or what?
Lebron i think he might make the all star reserve anything can happen yao made start hes not even good he just tall i think all these guys will do eally good this year but Shaq and Pau Gasol will have a big impact year cause shaq has t-macs personal trainer he will be very dominate and pau is just getting better and better
Cavaliers Guard Lebron James : LeBron James will easily make the All Star game next year, whether he is worthy or not. Was Yao, worthy to start ahead of Shaq, or VC worthy to start ahead of Pierce, Jordan etc. the answer to both is no, but the reason they did was popularity and James is so popular already he will easily make the All Star game, as long as he holds down a starting spot in Cleveland, which he will do. Memphis Forward Pau Gasol : Gasol will improve but in a strong West, in terms of PF, has no chance at making the All Star game. He will have a similar year to his rookie one. Lakers Center Shaq O'neal : Shaq will make the All Star reserves, with Yao, once again ahead of him, due to his popularity, especially in the big market of China. Shaq will have a much better year than last and will remain injury free, he and Kobe will take the Lakers deep into the playoffs Miami Guard Dwayne Wade : It all depends as to how Wade fits in at the point, if he can play alongside Jones and Butler, then he will be one of the key players in the Rookie team, won't get ROY but will do well. If he struggles at the point, he will find minutes less easy, behind Jones Seattle Forward Rashed Lewis : Will have an average season, in a rebuilding Sonics. They will struggle this year, but if they hang on to Lewis, Collison, Allen and Barry, and with Ridnour developing they could be very strong the following season, if they get a lottery pick. Which they should do in the West Indina Forward Al Harrington : Timberwolves, he is a starter, he will do well, score some points play some D. If he is still in Indiana, he will have to settle for a bench place. Will do better than last but the degree to which he improves depends on what franchise he is at.
Cavaliers Guard Lebron James- LeBron is gonna start for the East in the 2004 ASG. like truba03 said.. the fans voted VC and Yao even though they weren't deserving. no one's keeping them from voting for LeBron. As for the hype. I really don't know what he'll be like. It's probably impossible for him to live up to that hype in his rookie season though. Memphis Forward Pau Gasol- in the east, he could do some damange. for some reason, the NBA considers Tennessee to be in the West. Gasol will improve. he won't be an allstar. there are just way too many good PF's in the league. Lakers Center Shaq O'neal- Shaq would still be an allstar, even if he weighed 500 pounds. from what people are saying, he's going to come back in great shape. this is bad news for the rest of the league. Miami Guard Dwayne Wade- some are saying he'll play PG for the Heat. others are saying that Eddie Jones is on his way out. either way, i think Wade will have a decent rookie season. no one's expecting anything extraordinary from him, so he'll take advantage of that and possibly surprise us. Seattle Forward Rashed Lewis- i haven't seen Lewis play that much, but i'm not expecting anything from him. it'd be nice to see his rebounding numbers go up, considering his size. Indina Forward Al Harrington- we've seen little bursts of what Al Harrington can do. that 40 point game he had didnt happen on accident. he's got star potential. he came straight from highschool, so like many others, he needs time to develope
Cavaliers Guard Lebron James- He's gonna have a decent year. nothing what every expects though. probably around 10 pts 3 assists 3 boards Memphis Forward Pau Gasol- he's gonna be an allstar, he will improve into the memphis team leader and will help memphis make a playoff push. Lakers Center Shaq O'neal- will be back to normal, if kobe gives him the rock enough he should avg around 27 ppg and 13 rpg. Miami Guard Dwayne Wade- He is the most NBA ready player now, he will be ROY and put in an impressive season. Seattle Forward Rashed Lewis- He will improve greatly and be a very strong 2nd option to Ray Allen. they will combine to make the best sg/sf combo in the league. Indina Forward Al Harrington- He will be better. It all depends if Jermaine O Neal stays or goes. if he stays harrington will have to fight for playing time and wouldn't get that much, probably be in contention for 6th man of the year. if JO goes, then he will get plenty of playing time and will improve and have to lead the pacers and be very impressive(kind of like ricky davis did last year)(in that 2 years ago he showed potential, than last year he was able to use the potential)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "sportsrock37":</div><div class="quote_post">Lakers Center Shaq O'neal- will be back to normal, if kobe gives him the rock enough he should avg around 27 ppg and 13 rpg. </div> shaq could have 35ppg if he got the ball enough. i'd like to see him rebound more. he's so huge, he should be grabbing every rebound on the floor (w/ the exception of the long rebounds. those are kobe's)
Cavaliers Guard Lebron James-Lebron has a lot of hype surrounding him. He will average about 15ppg 5 rbs 3 asst. He will win the dunk contest. He will not be roy. he will be top 3 thou. Rookie game mvp thou. Memphis Forward Pau Gasol-This is going to be his best season so far. He will averrage 24 ppg 10 rbs 4 asst 2 blk 1 stl. He is going to be a all-satr backup. he will take the grizz to the playoffs. They will be knocked out of the first round. Lakers Center Shaq O'neal- He is going to be in shape this year. This is the first time in a long time he will be in shape. I think he will have a mvp type season.he will be the starting all-star center. all-star mvp also.28ppg 12 rbs 3 blk 1 stl 5 asst. the lakers will be in the finals agine. Miami Guard Dwayne Wade- He will have the best start to the season as any other rookie. He will surprise a lot of people. He will start for the heat and make a big impact. He will start for the east in the rookie all star game.2nd runner up for the ROY. Seattle Forward Rashed Lewis- This will be a breakout year for lewis. Alongside Ray Allen he will be a all-star. The sonics are going to make the playoffs this year. He will average 23 ppg 8 rebs 6 asst 2 stl 1 blk. Indina Forward Al Harrington- He wont have a breakout year. I think his breakout year wil come in 04. But if o'neal goes he very well might have his breakout year. he wont be a all-star. he will average 12 ppg 6 rbs 2 asst 1 stl 1 blk.

^it's a shame too. but this goes along with him rebounding more. he can get an amazing amount of offensive rebounds if he wants to. it's probably harder to stop shaq on a putback off an offensive rebound than while he's posting up

I want fisher to drive more.
yea kobes gonna take even more shots and miss more. also i dont see how shaq or anyone could ever be voted in at starting center over yao because of the chinese support
Cavaliers Guard Lebron James - will not live up to the hype, will avg 15 instead of 20 Memphis Forward Pau Gasol - will be finally noticed, i think gasol is underated because of the team he ison Lakers Center Shaq O'neal - hopefully will retire Miami Guard Dwayne Wade - will have a good rookie season, wont make rookie of they year but will be in the top 3 Seattle Forward Rashed Lewis - will have his best season, him and Ray should be the next 1-2 punch Indina Forward Al Harrington - will flat around in trade rumors but will stay in indiana
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "deestillballin":</div><div class="quote_post">Lakers Center Shaq O'neal - hopefully will retire </div> that'd be awesome
