Will Yao live up to his hype?

    What do you guys think? I dont think he will live up to the first overall pick hype. He may average 20 and 10 in his career though.

    no he wont he will fall of in like 3 yrs..the most he will average is gon be 18 pts and 10 brds

    I don't like him, I don't think he'll get anywhere. All those sportscasters are talking about how Houston will be the best place to coach, and sh*t. That's dumb, he won't get anywhere.

    20 and 10 is pretty good for a #1 pick. i think it'll take him longer to develope, so people will think he's a disappointment

    I thik Yao will be a special player in thie league in the coming years. I can see him averging 25 points, 12 rebounds and around 6 assists. Those numbers will come in about 3 years and will last till he gets out of his prime. He can only get better with time and development.

    Hes going to be a scary good players. In a few years hell be a dominant player. he could do better than 25 and 12 and could have 6 assists and 3 plus blocks a game.

    i doubt he'll get 6 assists per game, and i think it will take him a while to get to 25 ppg, but he could probably get 10 rebs/game next year about about 16+ points, especially with their new coach who will hopefully have him get the ball more! i think he might be the only one to get around 5 blks/game too in a few years. id say not next year, but the year after he will be averaging 20 pts, 11+ rebs, and 4 assists, and 2.5 or more blks. he is going to be the best center in the league for a long time, unless of course antoine walker decides to play center next year, then its all over for yao.
