If K-Mart gets in foul trouble we lose, If Duncan gets in foul trouble we win.....simple concept aint it....GO NETS!
no. Kmart isnt a good enough player to be themain factor in whether thye win or lose. bottom line: if tim duncan and the entire spurs starting 5 get in a plain crash they lose. if not they win. sorry to burst your bubble
funk.....I'm new to these forums...but do u say anything positive? What are you a disgruntled Boston fan? Last time I checked this is a NETS board.....fuk off...... :-x
whadyu mean....why would i be disgruntled if i was a boston fan. the celtics have won more championships than any other team. anyways i am saying positive things. theyre about the spurs. the spurs are an incredible team. they won a lot more games than new jersey did against much tougher competition. its gonna take a lot more than tim duncan foul trouble to shift the series. if nets win its cause of jason kidd. not kmart. as u saym he is the savior. the other guys are pretty much average basketball players. almost every matchup favors the spurs. Point Guard -- Jason Kidd vs. Tony Parker: What we have here is the NBA?s assist leader four years running against one of People Magazine?s 50 Most Beautiful People. Advantage: Kidd. Shooting Guard -- Stephen Jackson vs. Kerry Kittles: Lost in Steve Kerr?s three-point ambush were the 24 points from Jackson that kept San Antonio in Game 6. Jackson has scored 17 or more points in four of his last five games. Kittles has failed to reach double-digit points in five of six. Advantage: Jackson. Small Forward -- Richard Jefferson vs. Bruce Bowen: R.J. is one of the league?s premier finishers, but his jump shot needs work -- lots and lots of work. "Hack-a-Bowen" led the NBA in three-point percentage during the regular season (.441), but he went to the Chris Dudley School of Foul Shooting. Bowen's only defensive rival on the wing is Ron Artest. Jefferson?s defense is overrated, as his playoff averages of 0.57 steals and 0.14 blocks attest. Advantage: Bowen. Power Forward -- Tim Duncan vs. Kenyon Martin: Byron Scott wants Martin to start out defending Duncan, but that's a mistake. It not only subjects Martin to foul trouble, it could tire him to the point that his offense suffers. Duncan is averaging 24.9 points, 14.8 rebounds, and 54.1 percent shooting in the playoffs. Martin isn't far behind, chiming in with 20.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 50.4 percent from the field. Bottom line: If Shaquille O?Neal and Robert Horry can?t stop the two-time MVP, no one can. Advantage: Duncan. Center -- David Robinson vs. Jason Collins: Shouldn't this be Malik Rose vs. Aaron Williams? Advantage: Robinson (sorry, I respect my elders). Bench -- San Antonio vs. New Jersey: The Nets go eight deep with Rodney Rogers, Aaron Williams, and Lucious Harris, while the Spurs go 10 deep with Manu Ginobili, Malik Rose, Speedy Claxton, Kevin Willis, and Steve Kerr. Rogers is a former Sixth Man of the Year, but Manu and Malik could start for a lot of teams. Reserves account for 29.7 percent of the scoring in San Antonio and 26 percent in New Jersey. Advantage: San Antonio. Coaches -- Gregg Popovich vs. Byron Scott: Both coaches have made it to the Finals, but only Pop has the jewelry (1999 Finals) and hardware (2002-03 Coach of the Year). Scott is 23-11 (.667 winning percentage) in two postseason appearances, while Popovich is 43-28 (.606) in six trips to the playoffs. Advantage: Popovich. bottom line: spurs in 5
your good at copying and pasting...how many times must I see that, also RJ and Bowen....advantage Bowen my arse
rj will take bowen k-mart will challange duncan but by no means control him kidd-lol tony who? kittles wont do a damn thing collins/deke- robinson will get hurt
I want NJ to win, but Bowen will limit Richard Jeffersons scoring, but then again JKidd can get Richard jefferson more points.
I find it amusing how some people have Bowen ranked over Richard Jefferson. Jefferson is way to athletic for Bowen to complately shut down. Bowen can contain Jefferson but not shut him down while Jefferson can easily shut down Bowen. Nets in 6.
Its the same thing that happend to the nets last year. Could they stop shaq? hell no. Duncan took shaq to school (exagerating) and now what do you think will happen? The nets can't stop TD... If by somehow the do, (tripple teaming) its a kick out to stephen jackson and boom, the nets learn their lesson about the triple team. Matchups: PG-Kidd/Parker-Large advantage kidd, but Tony is the fastest player in the L SG-Kittles/Bowen-Tie, two defensive players. SF-Jefferson/Jackson-Two very athletic players who can get the job done as well as throw it down. Slight Advantage Jackson (jumpshooting). PF-Martin/Duncan-Duncan will give Kmart nightmares  C-Collins/Robinson-Advantage Robinson, old guy, but still has the heart to win. Bench PG-Anthony Johnson/Speedy Claxton-Advantage speedy, faster and can shoot the ball well (sometimes) SG-Luccious Harris/Manu Ginobli-Advantage, Ginobli, faster, shot selection is way better SF-Rodney Rogers/Danny Ferry-Advantage, Rogers, both great shooters PF-Arron Williams/Malik Rose-Advantage Rose, more athletic, better shot selection C-Dikembe Mutumbo/Kevin Willis-Tie, they probably wont play much. If there has to be an advantage it would be Mutumbo. Spurs in 5
Can you stop Duncan? NO....Can you slow Duncan down? YES, Shaq was dropping 45 points on the Nets, Duncan will not
dont couint deke out if duncan is out there soing whatever he wants deke will play and we have a block party!! lol
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "K-Mart":</div><div class="quote_post">Can you stop Duncan? NO....Can you slow Duncan down? YES, Shaq was dropping 45 points on the Nets, Duncan will not</div> TD could drop 45 if the Nets don't double team him. either way, the Nets lose. I hate repeating myself, but here we go: parker vs kidd- kidd. i dont need to explain. hopefully, tony will use his speed to his advantage jackson vs. kittles- jackson. he's got something to prove to byron scott bowen vs. rjeff- i think this depends on bowen's offense. if he doesn't do much on offense, i dont think it'll be because of jefferson. if bowen's making his 3's, then he's got the advantage duncan vs martin- duncan. timmy will stay with kmart down low on defense, and if kmart shoots outside, the spurs will be alright. not only will kmart be tired from defending timmy, he'll be more sore than he's ever been robinson vs collins- robinson. because he's the admiral. come on now. ginobili vs. harris/kittles- ginobili is way too unpredictable. have you seen how he passes? the nets wont know what to do with him. how well he plays rests on himself, not the defense rose vs. martin- i think they might put aaron williams on duncan if kmart gets into foul trouble. kmart will then end up defending malik rose. malik rose is a terrific post present. kmart will still have his hands full. i have no idea what deke will do- if he plays

You people talk like Richard Jefferson is some superstar. Hes not Tmac. hes not Pierce. Bruce bowen has shut down much more athletic players than richard jefferson. rjef wont be much of a challenge for bowen ecxept in transition and even the nets cant run all game long against a d like the spurs
Bowen may be on a JKidd alot. But, Bownen could easily shut down RJ, and RJ may get all transition points. The Nets can't run all day on the Spurs? They dominated Detroit in fast break points.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "STCBBall3":</div><div class="quote_post">The Nets can't run all day on the Spurs? They dominated Detroit in fast break points.</div> yea, but the pistons could have easily won the first 2 games of the series if they'd made more free throws.. they could have stayed in the series if Rip Hamilton got a little more help on offense. it wasn't the fast break points that caused Detroit to lose
Yea theres not much comparison. The Spurs are faster thean the pistons and will have an easier time containing the fast break and an effortless time scoring. unles new jersey scores 110 points on the fast break evry game i dont see the winning
bowen's done a good job so far shutting rj down, only 35% shooting for the field and only 9.7 (9. something) ppg. through the 1st 3 games.
