Which one of the 3 rookie qbs will do the best in there rookie year for there teams. Eli manning has all the weapons tiki, shockey, toomer, hillard. Roethlisberger has duce staley, plaxico burress, hines ward and randle el Phillip rivers has tomlinson, conway and god who knows else. I say ben roethlisberger i honestly beleive he will beat out maddux eventually and he will have the better year/ stats. Tho rookies hardly ever do well. Ben has the most potential in my opinon. I really think this kid is gonna be a great qb in this league. Whats your thoughts?
I will go out no a limb and go with manning. ok so not on a limb, it is pretty obviouos to those who know football he will throw for 3500 yds this season and none of the others will. If losman starts this season he would be my #2, then rivers, then drew henson if he starts, and then Big Ben.
bucs40, wasnt curtis conway cut 2 years ago, then played w. the JEts last year and picked up by the 49ers a few weeks ago? i think that losman will have the most suprising year, ive said he was a great talent almost all year and im sticking with him. eli is a close second, but i doubt hell get time with warner being there
Dawk you are right curtis conway did go to the niners. My bad even a better case that phillip may not fair well with no help in sandiago. Good eye. I think the playing time for all the qbs will be the key. Tho warner hasnt signed with gmen yet we can assume he will. Will he beat out eli or be his backup? I just for some reason think that if maddux can look good playing with the steelers talents. Then ben who has been studying like peyton manning did his rookie year could steal his job. A very talented qb that has a great arm and from what i hear has a nack for studying the game.
Are any of these guys named as the starter yet? If Warner goes to the Giants, I'm pretty sure he can beat out Manning for one year. Maddox is still under contract for the Steelers. If he even remotely returns to form, I don't see Roethlisberger starting. I'd have to go with Rivers, just because I'm sure he'll get the job over Brees.
Pack, So far reports ive heard is td tommy was gonna holdout, and eli manning would be the giants starting qb. Im gonna assume maddux will start but at some point when you have first rd pick qb on the bench you will wanna see him play.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Giantsfan12004)</div><div class='quotemain'>of course i am gonna say Manning but yiou know!!!!!!! im just a litlle biased</div> just a little

But, will he beat Doug 'the ageless wonder' Flutie?
Philip Rivers, but Manning will also do pretty well for a rookie. Neither team will do that well, though. Rothelsberger probably won't start full time until next year.
if ben does play i believe he would do very well, but he won't play so i think rivers will have the best year
I've read this thread several times and it seems like the wrong question being asked. I mean isn't the real question, "Which Quarterback will have the most opportunity or playing time?" Roethlisberger may not see one play. He will most definitely be third string behind Batch. Rivers looks like the only one who has a shot of starting off the get go. Manning is just a matter of time and Losman (who wasn't mentioned) won't see any time either.
