why would couch sign a 1 year deal with the packers? he wont play so why would he basically waste a year then be a FA again?

Well this is my idea although it was a stupid move green bay wants a backup for favre who will most likley end up geting hurt either that or he gets hurt and stays in until his thumbs fall off. I also think this will make favre think thatthey dont think he will be a great next year so he will be playing hard next year. But all and alll it was a stupid deal.

I guess Cleveland's weather is just balmy & tropical in comparison?

No one is interested in Couch, other than the Bears, so why NOT sign the deal? I'd take $1.5 million to hold on to a clip board. And who knows? If the Pack somehow manages to win the Superbowl this year, Favre will probably retire on top. That leaves Couch in a great position to negotiate a new deal with a team that's already familiar to him. It's a win-win for the Pack and for Couch.

I know huh Pack. It was sad watching Farve Throw that game right back to them. Ahman Green was my man in FFB last year so I was rooting for him in the Playoffs. It was to bad.

I still can't believe that game happened the way it did. I've never seen a team lose a game they should have won in worse fashion. The only comparison I have is the '94 AFC Championship game where the Steelers lost to the Chargers.... that game was ridiculous....

Or possibly the 2001 AFC championship against us...Though we won on some crazy plays and weren't losing the game like the eagles were but you could argue we were helped. At least we validated it with a win over the rams in the superbowl where the chargers got their doors blown off.

That was pretty crazy but at the time you didn't see many over hand lateral's so it was kind of a shock when he just threw it across the field.

That game was ridiculous. Pitt should've lost to Miami. The Steelers or Dolphins would've given the 49ers a game. As I recall, the Dolphins got jobbed by the officials when they played SD a week earlier.

    37--

I had Ahman on my fantasy team last yr. Does this mean it will be a race to draft him this year?

    Pack--

When you are an Eagles fan, you have to take solace in the smallest of things. Either that or throw batteries.

Favre got hit in the head with a battery in Philly early in his career. I believe his quote was something along the lines of "City of brotherly love, my ass!" Yeah, those fans can be brutal...

I just got tickets today for the Tennessee/Green Bay Monday Night game in October! Woo hoo!
