Lakers & Pistons Lakers in 6 I think this would be one of the best match-ups in the finals if everything plays out. It will be a lot more exciting than this year's finals.
Next year: Spurs vs. Pistons Spurs will sign a scoring free agent center to replace the Admiral, which will only make them better. Parker, Ginobili and Jackson are very young and can only grow. Spurs management has done a good job making this team a contender! Pistons will draft Milicic and sign a free agent, and have a great new coach in Larry Brown. About this year, if the Nets can win Game 4 tonight it might get interesting. If they don't... Spurs in 5.
I change my mind... TWolves vs Pistons TWolves are gunna sign Gary Payton (because he feels Lakers are gay and he doesnt want to go to jail in portland), they also sign Malone (because someone told me they heard he might sign there so why not)... they trade Wally for Ricky Davis, and they also trade TB for Stack and Leattner and they destroy the west... mauhahahaha ^ that could happen with all the reports... but Im just kiddin hehehe
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "allnet":</div><div class="quote_post">LOL get real...pistons had injury problems throughout the playoffs....and still made the ECF....ben was injuried mainly all the first round...it's magic fault they can't get out the first round...you are better than pistons? HAHAHAH is that why you finished 8th and we finished 1st? nice try... as for sixers? LOL one of our best players was injuried basically the whole series and we still won it in 6.. magic were lucky they got the games they did... How the hell were we lucky when we had injury after injury problems? at least make some sense when you post..or try and back up your posts....as right now you are talking a load of bull</div> lmao, magic were lucky to get the games they did? it was the pistons that got lucky that the magic just completely melted down, they collapsed. there is no reason why anyone woulda said that the magic would lose up 3-1, u were even doubting them yourself allnet. the magic shoulda won, they didn't though, i give the pistons a lot of credit for keeping fighting and making the comeback, but there is no reason to say that the magic's wins were lucky. game 1(i guess was lucky since the pistons had about 30+ more ft's than the magic) game 3 and 4, we just dominated. (At least game 4). it was a good series. the magic will get better because tmac will, gooden will, gg will, we will get a good pick, plus we will get a good center in fa. if the magic wanted to, they coulda gotten the #7 seed, but we'd rather face the pistons than nets. if u took the games when we had gooden and gg and made it a 82 games, instead of the 30 or however it was. we woulda had at least home court. and the magic were the better team, honestly. we have more talent, we just can't put a series away yet. mark my words, magic will have homecourt advantage next year and will get out of the 1st round for sure.
no doubt the magic shoulda won...up 3-1 and blow it...that's embarassing...i think it'll be Mavs/Nets if all goes well...

Magic might well improve next season..but if they want to get out of round one you need homecourt...and would magic really get a good FA this off season? do they even have any cap space? pistons sure as hell do..also the 2nd pick in the draft as for dallas...well Mavs really need to learn to play better defence if they want to win the NBA title...if they keep improving a NBA finals appearance might happen...but unlikely
clearly the pistons will be the team to beat next season. they have been great the last two seasons and are going to get even better. they have cap space to sign an impact free agent, odom, maggette, brand etc. and joe dumars will make the right choice. plus they will add darko milic to their squad. even if darko is not ready to contribute right away, he is a 7 footer, and is an upgrade to their overall squad. and they also have larry brown coaching the team. last year chauncey billups only played well during the second half after he got acclamated to their system. they are going to be a lot better with him now familiar with the offense and with a lot of confidence after making huge shots in big games. also consider how much weaker teams in the east are going to be. nets - might lose jason kidd pacers - might lose jermaine o'neal and/or brad miller bucks - might lose gary payton hornets - might lose pj brown
