<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The man known as Stevie Franchise was not on hand to help the Rockets welcome their new head coach, which is indicative of how the guard feels about his man Rudy Tomjanovich getting the boot. After the season ended, Francis said he would demand a trade if the Rockets fired Rudy T. Well, they didn't exactly fire Rudy, but they did make it known that he will not be on the bench when the curtain goes up on a new arena next season. The Rockets were pursuing Larry Brown at the time, and Francis made a statement in support of that move. Privately he said he would enjoy playing for Brown, who is known as a guards' coach. He also said he would not be as supportive of a move to land Van Gundy, who is known as a control defense coach. Well, just as the Rockets were on the verge of signing Larry Brown, the Pistons fired head coach Rick Carlisle and stole Brown right out from under the Rockets. Steve Francis was unavailable for comment when I called the Rockets on Wednesday. He's in Washington DC, where his grandmother lives, and does not plan to be back in Houston until camp begins. He's not the only one staying away from Westside Tennis Club, where the Rockets usually work out and play basketball for much of the summer. It's being said that Cuttino Mobley knows he's on his way out, and is staying away from Houston to wait and see where he ends up. Most if the rest of the team is waiting to see what Jeff Van Gundy decides to do with the lineup. Meanwhile, Moochie Norris, Eddie Griffin, and James Posey are still in Houston, working out at Westside and getting ready to take their roles next season. Posey expects to begin working on a new deal with the Rockets soon.</div> First the grizzles..now houston c'mon franchise...grow up.. francis wants to play for Larry brown? hmm....just maybe he wants to join us? 8) hehe....nah doubt it
Nah he cool, think about it though, your coach since youve been a rookie thats what 3, 4 years, francis been with rudy t, id be upset too, heck i was upset when he stepped down. If he plays for Detriot.. it will be awsome
allnet wasnt everyone to play with Detroit, KG and Stevey will be on the team next year... As I see it Rudy isnt coachin anywhere else so whats he whining bout...
No..i actually don't want him here....because he doesn't get the ball enough to ming...so why would he do the same to darko? i'm happy with chauncey running the point.....francis could ruin our chemistry....and i didn't make up the KG to detroit rumour...it was in a detroit news article...and besides chauncey is his best mate..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "J-MAC":</div><div class="quote_post">can he ever stay on one team</div> no. franchise will be an orlando magic, like he shoulda been when the grizzlies traded franchise(magic were part of that deal).
its all talk steve wont leave he will stay with yao for a while and see how things turn out i would like to see him traded to lakers for fisher and about half the teambut the salery wouldnt work, get rid of some retards like fox[model]the guy who just to your left got punched

LOL, he will be a rook, believe you me, this kid wont even come close to gettin ROY of the year honors, I wouldnt want Francis passin to this discolored hair freak...
i don't mean just this year..i mean years to come darko is the 2nd pick for a reason...he will be effective in his rookie year too....darko is a future NBA superstar.. i know you are jealous because we have darko....after making the conference finals...it has to hurt alot of people...also lottery teams who got a lower pick than us don't worry you will get over it one day...you have to stay strong..
yea. he will win a championship with yao if he stay but he welcome to come to Boston if he want.
Mobley is gonna be gone and I think Stevie might play some SG this year and if that doesnt work out then i think he will be gone too.
Naw....Francis and Mobley are good friends... i think Francis will stay until at least the trade deadline to see how things work out....

Im not sure if this kid is going to be a superstar... but who knows, for now I would want Stevey shooting and driving then passing the ball to Yao or Darko
i was being sacastic about the pistons part you know...anyways look where it got rockets with francis shooting and driving?....when he passed the ball to yao they were successful.and you know JVG will run the offence through ming and not francis..as afterall Jeff is a big man's coach..
They were half and half this year, they couldnt decide where they wanted to go, but yes I do agree that they will be going thro Mingster this season... but I just dont think that Yao reglardless if Stevey passed him the ball all the time, could carry them to the 8th seed in the playoffs as a rookie... maybe next year
