    Contact drills
For the past two seasons, David Boston shocked cornerbacks by coming onto the field wearing wild-colored contact lenses, making his eyes purple or red or blue. A standard eye test by the Dolphins revealed one of the league's most dangerous deep threats needed a contact correction for a depth-perception problem. The new contacts have Boston picking up balls quicker and a new diet has him on pace to play at under 230 pounds. The only mandate by the team is that Boston wear only natural-colored lenses during games.

i think that is funny, but why would the fins FO have aproblem with boston playing a game within the game with the DBs?

maybe they feel that the colored contacts interfere with his ability to pick up the ball in flight....every story I read about Boston gets me more excited, hes been very cooperative so far, most of the negative stories Ive read recently have been re-hash pieces, so far , theres nothing to complian about with Boston....

Boston was put on the same nutrition program Ricky W was. DB is down to 235 lbs w/ 5 to 7 more to lose.

I get the same impression beef does after every story I read about Boston.

Have no fear; Wanny will find some way to make a pigs breakfast of it all!!

I have a hard time believing that any DB would really be freaked out by red contact lenses. Mabye his 230 lb. frame of pure muscle, but contacts? No way. Why the Dolphins care if he wears them during the game, I have no idea. But I'm sure it's just about not rocking the boat.

I think Boston will behave but will he finally man up and play through his little nagging foot injuries injuries? I watched him go through the motions a few games in San Diego last season. Thats the only problem I have had with him cus he killed my fantasy squad two seasons ago and I will never forgive him.

Ooo.. that's death for a player to a football fan. Draft a guy that lets you down big time and you'll never like him again.

Jeff Garcia was that guy for me a few seasons back. He was coming off of a career season and looked prime to have a huge year and he sucked. I'll never draft him again.

Yeah. Why draft JG when Maddox & Feidler will be for the pickings?

This just in; Boston, according to the Palm Beach paper, has given up the tinted contacts & says is seeing the ball up quicker than he has the past few seasons.
