why was this guy no1 pick in 2000,how does a guy like this get to the NBA with such poor shooting, hes a power dunker thats all.

    Nets' Martin Learning From Mistakes
In the NEWARK STAR-LEDGER, Brad Parks writes that Nets forward "Kenyon Martin
didn't even know until after Game 6 of the NBA Finals was over just how ugly his
shooting numbers (3-of-23) were." However, Martin hopes to use his poor-shooting
performance in Game 6 as a learning tool. "If Game 4 of last year's Finals --
when he scored 35 points as the Nets got swept by the Lakers -- helped him
realize how good he could be, maybe Game 6 of the 2003 Finals will make him
realize how much he still has to learn," adds Parks.

... because he's exciting to watch and a good player. the class of 00 was the worst rookie class, mike miller is the most undeserving ROY. (and that was in the class of 04). kmart is the best player in that class, that's why he was the #1 pick.

he averaged like 11 ppg in his rookie season, and he also played with a great point guard back then too.

How would you feel if everyone turned their back on you? That's how it was with Marbury. He was receiving a whole bunch of criticism for something that wasn't his fault (the something being New Jersey's awfulness).

i thought u liked miller. that draft was weird, the later picks were better then the earlier picks.

K-mart is getting a lot of heat for his bad play in Game 5 and 6... he deserves it.. he played bad... but... he played great the other 18 playoff games... I really don't understand how people could say that he's not talented when he averaged 20.4 ppg and 9.3 rbg in those 18 games... he averaged 14.7ppg and 10 rbg playing against Duncan in the PO's... despite having 2 bad games... in the first 4 he averaged 19.5 ppg and 10.3 rbg... if that's no talent...
