why was this guy no1 pick in 2000,how does a guy like this get to the NBA with such poor shooting, hes a power dunker thats all. Nets' Martin Learning From Mistakes In the NEWARK STAR-LEDGER, Brad Parks writes that Nets forward "Kenyon Martin didn't even know until after Game 6 of the NBA Finals was over just how ugly his shooting numbers (3-of-23) were." However, Martin hopes to use his poor-shooting performance in Game 6 as a learning tool. "If Game 4 of last year's Finals -- when he scored 35 points as the Nets got swept by the Lakers -- helped him realize how good he could be, maybe Game 6 of the 2003 Finals will make him realize how much he still has to learn," adds Parks.
... because he's exciting to watch and a good player. the class of 00 was the worst rookie class, mike miller is the most undeserving ROY. (and that was in the class of 04). kmart is the best player in that class, that's why he was the #1 pick.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "allnet":</div><div class="quote_post">uh oh...don't get oldskool started.....look at the NBA draft for 2000....thats why he was 1st</div> haha, he hasnt been on the board as much as he usually is..
oh man get over it 2 games out of 16 that he did bad other wise he was flawless damn im tiard of haters he has been playin in the NBA for 3 years!! young wait untill his 6th then we can say he was a bust
i no but i cant see him going anywere in the future, like he is just not that talented,no matter what anyone says,he throws up right hand hook that just never seems to go in,and he gives away stupid fouls all the the time
he averaged like 11 ppg in his rookie season, and he also played with a great point guard back then too.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "shapecity":</div><div class="quote_post">and they finished with the worst record in their division.</div> because marbury diddent try meaning kmart was on his own
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "allnet":</div><div class="quote_post">Mainly because of injuries...don't blame marbury...</div> then whats up with that "lonely"and "on my own" on his shoes?
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">then whats up with that "lonely"and "on my own" on his shoes?</div> How would you feel if everyone turned their back on you? That's how it was with Marbury. He was receiving a whole bunch of criticism for something that wasn't his fault (the something being New Jersey's awfulness).

K-mart is getting a lot of heat for his bad play in Game 5 and 6... he deserves it.. he played bad... but... he played great the other 18 playoff games... I really don't understand how people could say that he's not talented when he averaged 20.4 ppg and 9.3 rbg in those 18 games... he averaged 14.7ppg and 10 rbg playing against Duncan in the PO's... despite having 2 bad games... in the first 4 he averaged 19.5 ppg and 10.3 rbg... if that's no talent...
