    The Memphis Grizzlies traded their #13 (Marcus Banks) and #27 (Kendrick Perkins) picks to the Boston Celtics tonight for the #16 (Troy Bell) and #20 (Dahntay Jones) picks in the draft.

    What are your thoughts on this?

    wasnt it to the Celtics? lol anyway that was a great trade, they are a very athletic team now.

    Grizzlies would've been WAY better off with Banks and Perkins. IMO.

    Banks is a better all-around PG than Bell. And Dahntay Jones should've gone in the mid second round. Both Bell and Jones were projected to be second rounders.

    Perkins has a lot of upside and Marcus Banks will be a very good player. Bell will be good too, but Jones won't be anything special.

    I wanted the Memphis Grizzlies to draft a high quality shooting guard with their 13th overall pick; and I was hoping that they would draft a good backup center with their 27th pick.

    Some candidates for the Grizzlies to draft in my mind were -

    13 -

    Mikael Pietus (picked before)
    Dwyane Wade (picked before)
    Jarvis Hayes (picked before)
    Reece Gaines
    Aleksander Pavlovic

    27 -

    Zaur Pachulia
    Malick Badiane
    Kendrick Perkins


    The Grizzlies drafted Marcus Banks and Kendrick Perkins; and then they traded them both for Troy Bell and Dahntay Jones.

    I am really upset by these moves.

    Why West wants Bell over Gaines, and Jones over Perkins is beyond me.

    kendrick perkins is nothing. the griz didnt hurt themselves with this trade but i dont htink they gtot the better of the deal

They added players, not subtract them. They just could have done better. Like drafting Gaines or Banks and Lampe.

    yea but a lot teams couludve gotten lampe. Troy Bell is a great shooter. Dantay Jones is very athletic compares to waste of space kendrick perkins. banks will be trhe x factor here
