<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">.Sources say the club has a wink-wink agreement to bring in Derrick Coleman as a free agent.</div> This must mean cliffy is gone...this would be no surprise to me to see this happen..alot of pistons fans expected this as soon as brown was named coach..DC is still a good player..and would give us more than cliff will next year..
Hmmm...With larry brown in house, Coleman wouldn't surprise me but I doubt Uncle Cliffy's gone...he has two years left on a deal that costs more than he's worth, but as much as I love Cliff, I wouldn't be sorry to see him go...his value is in his post defense (he helps Ben way more than most realize) but even his 'd' tailed way off last year. After drafting Darko, if we sign D.C. I think Corliss Williamson should be the one packing his bags. Corliss, D.C., Cliff Robinson, Rebraca, Okur, Darko and Ben Wallace is to many guys for 2 posistions....I wouldn't be surprised to se Rebraca get dealt either. He's a reasonably priced backup offensive threat in the post....everyone wants one of those.
Coleman would love to go back home to Detroit. he could also give the Pistons some more scoring. he doesn't have to play too much, you saw how beat up he was towards the end of the season.
corliss, cliff and rebraca should be delt. c- coleman/darko pf- wallace/okar how much would it take for the raps to get rebraca the had him before then traded him?
Rebraca had a serious disease last year..and only returned before the playoffs....i don't think he will be able to play much..i have to give props for him returning in the first place
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "magicfrankie":</div><div class="quote_post">I believe he still has a house there...</div> yea, i think he does. i read some article a couple months and he was saying how much he loves going back to Detriot.
i think corliss will be the odd man out. tayshaun prince is going to demand more minutes at the SF spot. also michael curry should retire and move into some coaching job with the team.

Shapecity- You're on the right track with that Curry thing, I've been hearing whispers for the last couple of weeks that they are negotiating to buy out his contract and swap his jersey for a shirt and tie. Coleman's skills would be a nice fit in Detroit if Darko can't contribute right away...I personally would toss Darko in there right away and let him learn on the fly, but if Joe D, thinks Coleman can put the Pistons in the finals, its a done deal. Personally I'm never happy to add a player with Coleman's history of being disruptinve to a team but..... ..taking him away from Philly might make the whole thing worth while.
how soon before we hear some rip hamilton & corliss williamson (or some other player or players) for AI? i have a feeling dc will behave in detroit. winning makes everything easier, and the pistons will be winning a lot. besides i don't think he wants to piss off big ben the enforcer.
well, if AI stays and Coleman leaves, it'd be awfully interesting to see Pistons vs. Sixers. I'm thinking the Pistons will keep Rip.
We are keeping rip..those stupid rumours were cancelled last week by joe D and larry...LB loves rip's game and wants to keep him for many years
