Antonie Walker for Latrell Sprewell?

i hate this trade i wante lmape to stare so we can rebulild i dont want mr.chubsie wearing orange and blue i would rather give spree for money BUT i would much rather have a houston for walker deal because it rids of of SOOOOOO much money but that deal is near impossible

 

Celtics are anxious to get rid of Antoine. On Draft night they offered the Raptors toine for AD and 4th, GG responded with "what do you think we're spoking?".

thing is alot of us knick fans relized that we should go in to rebuliding to start making a dynasty walker would be a quick fix just to get knocked out the the 1st round and have the 17th pick or so and get a player with just a exeptional amount of tallent of even worse a forign player that will never come

 

all the knicks need is a new GM

 

I wouldn't put too much faith in this trade rumour anyhow. The story was printed in a New York paper. Layden is famous for leaking deals to the press to keep fans hopeful, almost as famous as the NY press is for making up crap when it comes to trade talks.

I wouldn't think to hard on any rumour that shows up NY papers and only NY papers, its propably a load bull.


The most likely deal for 'Toine is Walker for Eddie Robinson, Doneyll Marshall and Jamal Crawford. IF crawford is still on the board at this point.

i agree. i like rocko's explanation. i don't see why either team would do it, but i like toine over spree.

 

New Celtics GM Danny Ainge laughed off rumors that he was sending Antoine Walker to the Knicks for Latrell Sprewell -- a move that made almost zero sense for the Celtics.

''It's definitely not true, any of it,'' Ainge told the Boston Globe. ''I don't care if it's from the New York Post or the Boston Globe. I have serious talks with everybody, but there's nothing close to happening. What is a serious trade talk? If it's where you exchange ideas, I've had many serious trade talks, but nothing that has been close to happening. Nothing is close to happening with Antoine.''

 

this trade seems like the kind of rumor that one hears about this time every year ... unlikely .. but who knows .. I for one cannot see why the Celtics would want to go down this road (that is why I suspect that the Knicks through the usual unnamed source started it) .. the Celtics went to a lot of trouble to sign a brand new pg and I think that they did a good job, I think Banks may turn out to be the best pg in the draft .. not that I am a terrific fan of Walker, but he plays a big role and the Celts need him unless they are planing a whole other round of trades.
